I missed Friday Favorites because…school started back for teachers. And Thursday I ran around like a crazy woman in the pouring down rain trying to get to two doctor appointments so I don’t have to take off of school any at the beginning of the year. I really feel like this weekend went by so fast, but that’s how they feel when school is in session 🙁 Kids start back on Wednesday!
Thursday
I went through some boxes that my mom sent to my house and found this gem:
This is from the 6th grade. I’m 2nd from the left. Sixth graders definitely don’t look like that anymore! They now look like little mini college students. And this was the only year I played Upward. Basketball + me = embarrassing!
My first doctor appointment on Thursday morning was at my dermatologist for my yearly check up. This was my first time visiting her new office and I love it! It’s so Restoration Hardware with all of the neutral grays throughout. If it wouldn’t have looked weird, I would have taken pictures throughout the office haha!
Friday
Teachers started back to school. I didn’t even think to take a picture of my room because I had SO MUCH TO DO. Think numbering and dividing up new textbooks, workbooks, freebies from the textbook company, and a million other things, so I didn’t even get around to anything that I needed to.
I left school Friday at 4 because our new mattress was being delivered! I had them stick it in one of the extra bedrooms because we needed to air it out and our bedroom furniture isn’t getting delivered until Tuesday afternoon. We got the newest TempurPedic and I’m excited to finally get to sleep on it!
Saturday
I ran two miles. Rachel and I went shopping to take advantage of tax free weekend here in the state of Alabama. Then I got really sick so we had to go home 🙁 I’m hoping the doctor can figure out what the deal is with my stomach so I can finally eat.
Sunday
Church and open house at school! I can’t wait to teach beside one of my friends from high school!!! I’ve waited a whole year for her to be hired and I am thrilled to finally have a teaching partner!
