Today marks four years of marriage. Four years?! When I was younger and had planned my entire life out down to what age I was going to get married and what age I was going to have babies, my life today looks nothing like what I had planned.
But I’m so happy it doesn’t.
I can’t imagine my life without Dustin–especially after everything we’ve been through.
He’s the first to get over an argument and always tries to get me laughing so I can get over it.
He calls me as soon as he gets off of work–every single day. I know that if I don’t have a phone call by 5:35, something is wrong.
He extends so much grace to me and I never deserve it. When I think about how much grace he extends to me, I’m quickly reminded that I should freely extend grace to him.
I remember getting ready for our wedding, and I distinctly remember how calm I was. And it’s because I knew I was doing exactly what I should be doing. Has it been all roses and fairytales? No. But I know that love isn’t a feeling–it’s a choice. And Dustin and I both consciously choose to love each other every day no matter what. I’m so thankful to my friend Dana for setting us up on a blind date and the fact that I agreed to go on one 😜
