Hey y’all! I thought today we’d pretend we were having a cup of coffee together and chat about random things. It reminds me of Sally Clarkson’s At Home With Sally podcast Tuesday episodes called Tea Time Tuesday where she just talks about her life for the week :).
So grab a coffee pod of my favorite Nespresso coffee and have a seat!!
This summer Harrison has been waking up SO EARLY! I mean, if he sleeps until 6 am that’s like sleeping in to him right now. It’s killing me LOL. Most days I wake up about 5:15 so I can drink my coffee and do my quiet time alone before he wakes up. But the other morning I decided to sleep in until about 5:50 and Harrison was already awake by the time I woke up–which meant I got to do my quiet time with him awake. (I know I could have saved it for his nap time, but I do think it’s important for him to see me also reading my Bible–we read his at night at bedtime–and I don’t think the Lord expects me to have a “perfect” quiet time every day during this season of life as am other to a toddler). ANYWAY, when Is sat down to read my Bible, Harrison ran to his room to get his Bible 🙂
This is the Bible I use and this is the Bible we read to Harrison each night!
I finished my first book of the summer! This one took me about 3-4 days to read and I really enjoyed it! I like Christina Lauren books already (My favorite is The Unhoneymooners) but this one was different in a good way. It has a treasure hunt and some backstabbing people and of course, a love story. If you want a light read for this summer, I recommend Something Wilder!
If you follow me on IG and saw me post a question about gluten free living, then I’m here to tell you that yesterday was my first day being completely gluten free and it wasn’t terrible! I did show restraint at Chick-fil-a and eat only grilled nuggets and not any of the fried ones Harrison ordered, but other than that, it was a good day 1. The other day I came across a blogger who makes gluten free recipes that actually look tasty, so I started following her and this recipe will be the first one I make! Even if you aren’t GF, her stuff looks so good to make and you can just sub with regular flour instead of GF flour.
Lastly, Dustin and I really enjoy drinking craft beer, but I’ve realized I’m going to have to say goodbye to my favorite beers like Goat Island’s Blood Orange beer or Ghost Train’s Kettle Sour (but I may actually have one every once in a while since I don’t have celiac and we’ll see how they affect me ha). I was at Kroger yesterday grabbing a rotisserie chicken for supper and was craving a beer, so I found a single can of rose and bought it since I don’t drink enough to buy a bottle of wine. The verdict? It was good! Very bubbly but I enjoyed it!

Thanks for the book rec! I haven’t seen this one and I love Christina Lauren’s books! And noooo, you have to give up craft beer?! I could never! I wouldn’t know what to do with myself! I guess I’d turn into a vodka girl! Haha. Assuming that doesn’t have gluten??
