I really enjoy posts that allow a peek into a blogger’s life. I find these things so fascinating (as do most of y’all), so I decided to document a day in the life of my meals. But…
I almost didn’t post this today. This was my third attempt at documenting what I eat in a day. The first two were school days and I did great for my breakfast and snack, but then once lunch came, I totally forgot to take pictures. And then when I decided to document yesterday since I was off of school, it was the least normal day eating-wise. Totally not planned this way, but for the sake of showing you real life, here’s what I ate yesterday!
I wake up every morning and have a Spark drink, and yesterday I slept in until 7. I do this no matter what time I wake up–if it’s 5AM or 7AM. When the morning become cold, I’ll start drinking coffee or hot tea, but right now when we still have summer weather, Spark it is! I love that it’s light and refreshing and also gives me energy.
And then here’s where my day went wrong in the eating department haha. I normally wait a few hours before eating breakfast every morning. It’s extremely rare for me to wake up hungry. Since yesterday was still part of my fall break, I went and took pictures of my sister and we had decided to treat ourselves to a cookie at one of our favorite cookie places. And then we both felt extremely sick. I had forgotten that when I’m eating healthy and then I eat something that isn’t healthy, it messes with my stomach.
This cookie was good until it wasn’t 😂 I ate this at 10:30.
I felt so nauseous after eating that cookie that I went home and took a nap (I also didn’t feel good yesterday either).
I woke up from my nap at 2:30 and take a hardboiled egg since I was hungry but it was past lunch time.
Then at 3 I was still hungry so I decided to pop myself some popcorn. I love flavoring my popcorn with the different salts and yesterday I chose the ranch.
Dinner was at 6 and I made Shay’s Pumpkin-Sausage Pasta. Dustin and I love eating this in the fall. I change her recipe a bit when I make this and I do add a whole can of pumpkin instead of just a cup, and I use turkey breakfast sausage.
I had Dustin pick up a cold buster drink from Starbucks on his way home from work since I was still feeling terrible and had a sore throat. I drank it after supper, and I don’t know what it is about that drink, but my throat felt so much better!
Okay, so you can see that this is not a typical day for me. When it’s a school day, I eat breakfast, a small snack, lunch, another snack, and then supper. I will try to do this again maybe next month and make sure that it’s going to be a normal day!

I love these posts. And goodness, that cookie looks good! I totally know what you mean, though, when you indulge in something after being healthy, and your body is like what the heck are you doing to me, haha!

I love these types of posts! I can't tell you how many times I've started one of these or a day in the life and then I get off track and forget to keep taking photos lol! You are so right though. When I'm really on track, if I eat something too sweet or too heavy/indulgent it makes me feel so gross. That just shows us though that our bodies really do operate best on healthy foods!

If you have never tried it…I actually drink my spark hot when it's cold outside! I don't think every flavor would work but the mango strawberry is the one I drink too.

These are my favorite types of posts — I need to remember to do more of these types of recaps more often because it's even fun to look back on your own daily eats posts, haha. Okay, used to use that popcorn seasoning ALL the time and then forgot about it — adding it to my grocery list ASAP! We eat so much popcorn in our house!
