Meet the Shaneyfelts

Happy Friday, y’all! I am super happy this Friday because Dustin is back in town! He was out of town for 4 days for a work trip, and by the time he got back, I was the most exhausted I’ve ever been! I am just really, really glad that he’s back home!!

As usual, today I’m sharing a few FAVORITES with y’all!!

My friends and I LOVE going to afternoon tea at the Lanier House in Madison! Each month is a different theme, and when we saw that September was Winnie the Pooh, my friend Sarah immediately called to get us a reservation. They have a gluten free option, so it’s made my life super easy! My tray is the gluten free one, so I get a tray all to myself. This time, I loved the first two teas and the first course savory foods!

While Dustin was gone, I was picked to be a celebrity teacher for my sweet student Shelby during a volleyball game. So all 4 of us went to the volleyball game and Harrison took my picture when my name was called 🙂

Harrison also had a soccer game while Dustin was out of town and he scored his first goal this season during this game! He played his friend Kennedy June, and I was super thankful my mom volunteered to keep the babies at home so Merritt could go to bed at her normal time! Thank you, Mom!!

My secret pal got me the CUTEST gift this month! These wax melts are all themed to You’ve Got Mail, which is one of my all-time favorite movies ever! I have watched this movie so many times since August and I cannot wait to use these!

I am currently halfway through The Pirate Queen and I’m really liking it! It’s taken me a while to catch on to some of the characters, and I’ve had to reference the list of characters at the beginning more than a few times. If you plan on reading this, I highly recommend a physical copy for that reason–it’s much easier to flip back to figure out who someone is. If you haven’t read anything by Lawhon yet, I highly recommend The Frozen River–it’s a really, really great book!!!

Happy Friday! I am so excited about this 3 day weekend! Labor Day always feels like the end of summer to me, so we will be celebrating that–then I’ll decorate for fall!

Since I haven’t blogged in a month (start of school always gets me), I haven’t shared this bracelet! My friend Alex went to D23 in California last month and brought me and a couple of our other friends back a bracelet! It’s a Disney Princess bracelet and the book lover refers to Belle! I tried to find the exact one online, and this one is pretty close if you also are a book lover and want a bracelet!

One of the reasons why I’ve been so tired this week is that I just got back from Disney on a girls’ trip! We took a quick trip because my sister wanted to see Hanson perform in Epcot, so my friend Sarah and I tagged along to enjoy the parks!

I don’t think my sister had ever ridden the Magic Carpet ride, so we definitely had to do that!

While Rachel and Sarah went to ride Tron, I wandered around, rode some rides by myself, and then had to get my FAVORITE drink ever in MK–LeFou’s Brew from Gaston’s Tavern!

We had a great time, and I got to see the castle back in it’s original colors!

I wore this top on Saturday to MK and while it was a super hot day, this top kept me feeling cool and dry. It runs tts and it’s the 2nd one of these that I own–I really like this style a lot. I’m wearing the raspberry color here.

We’ve got a new morning drop off routine this year. After I drop Harrison off at school, we go to Banks and Merritt’s school to wait on them to open. We usually wait in the car anywhere from 5-8 minutes. During that time, I let the babies get out of their car seats and they love going back to the 3rd row to sit and pretend they are big kids. One morning this week, Banks wanted a picture and he placed his hand on my shoulder and I just melted–he is such a lover and a sweet boy!!

Soccer season has started and Harrison had two games this week. He’s improved a ton from last year and I really enjoy watching him play!!

Banks is playing t-ball this year and his first game was this past Saturday. I missed it, so my mom took lots of photos and videos and sent them to me. I can’t wait to watch him play!

Y’all know I love a good color coordination, and this was our first day of school photo! I planned on the kids coordinating, but I didn’t think about myself until I took the picture with them haha! So far we’ve all had a great school year!
