Hey y’all! I hope y’all had an enjoyable weekend out in the sun–we did when it wasn’t raining! Yesterday ended up being the most beautiful day, and we spent it outside as much as we could.
Saturday while Dustin was working, Harrison and I went over to my sister’s house because she had set up a kiddie pool. It was all fun and games until Harrison decided to pull my hair mid-picture ha! We are working on not pulling hair 🙂
Dustin was off work on Monday, so it gave him a little more time to build our privacy fence. This is Harrison’s face coming through the backyard when he saw his daddy! And he is really loving the backwards baseball cap lately–and I do, too!
We went to my mom and stepdad’s house Monday evening for dinner, and it was so good! Smoked chicken, potato salad, beans, homemade strawberry shortcake and homemade ice cream….SO MUCH FOOD! After, we all went outside to let Harrison run around, which is his absolute favorite thing to do. Also, I got that sunsuit in the TBBC Pink Sale this year and can’t wait for him to wear it to the beach.
My mom also french braided mine and my sister’s hair yesterday, and it reminded me how much I used to love wearing my hair in french braids. I’ve got to learn how to do it myself so I can wear it more like that this summer.
Also, I finished reading The Honey Don’t List this weekend and it was so cute!! I had used a gift card to buy My Favorite Half-Night Stand on my Kindle app, so that’s what I’m currently reading. I feel like this summer is going to be full of easy, breezy reads–nothing heavy. Although I am thinking about rereading either To Kill A Mockingbird or The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe–are you reading anything worthy right now?

I just got The Honey Don’t List from the library! Glad to hear it was good. Also Harrison’s little nose scrunch is adorable. And so are your braids. I have been doing a French braid a lot at home lately, but I have yet to try the two – definitely going to have to give it a go sometime before going back to work. 🙂
