Happy happy Friday!! I don’t know about y’all, but this week has felt super long–and I am so ready for the weekend! We’ve got a busy but fun weekend ahead–Oktoberfest, t-ball, and my high school reunion!
As always, I’m sharing a few of my FAVORITES with y’all!
one
I’ve started listening to Alex Clark’s podcast lately, and I loved her podcast with her husband annoucing her new marriage! It was long (almost 3 hours), but I loved listening to their story. I highly recommend listening to that episode. **Side note: She can be kind of brash because I definitely think she could be more gentle with the way she says things–but her podcasts have been really interesting….especially the one on toxic clothing.

Merritt had her first ever dentist appointment earlier this week and she did so much better than I expected. I like to prepare my kids before any new appointment, so we practiced opening our mouth wide and talking about what’s going to happen at the dentist. She did so so good and I also think the fact that the dental hygienist was so sweet and that helped Merritt obey.
three
Did you watch The Love Hypothesis? I haven’t read the book, but I thought the movie was so cute! I loved the chemistry between the two actors, and I already saw that a sequel is coming out soon!
four

I am a huge believer and fan of the Beekeepers spray! In fact, at our house we call it “Super Spray” because the boys weren’t eager to try it the first time I bought it, so I had to come up with some name for it. Now all 3 of my kids love it! Harrison gets 4 sprays and Banks and Merritt get 2. We do it in the morning, and I make sure we do it when I want us to stay well–like when we were getting close to our Disney trip last fall and even at the beginning of each school year.
five

Yesterday marked day 1 of the New Testament in The Bible Recap! I can’t believe it’s been 9 month of reading chronologically in the Old Testament! I have never read through the Bible chronologically, so I have really enjoyed seeing the placement of certain books of the Bible. For example, I had no idea Job was so early on in the Bible (like in the middle of Genesis). It’s just something I’ve never thought about before, so I’m loving the chronological order. If you haven’t ever done The Bible Recap, you can always start now, or even ask for it for Christmas and start on January 1 (which is what I did).
Okay, I’m off to work and then Oktoberfest tonight!
