We have an exciting announcement…
WE ARE ADOPTING!!!!
Oh, how I want to hug each and every one of you reading this out of pure joy and excitement as we wait on precious Baby Shaneyfelt!
Adoption was laid on our hearts over two years ago with the agreement that we would adopt one day. But we know that God’s plans are bigger (and better!) than our plans, so we are adopting much sooner than we planned for ourselves. Are we sad about it? Not one bit! I plan on sharing our story of how we were brought to this point just because I want to show you God’s goodness and grace in our lives. He is always good.
We are launching our first fundraiser this week, so I will be posting about it either Thursday or Friday! We’re in the early stages of the adoption process, so I plan on doing lots of adoption posts in the future!
Please be in prayer for us as we navigate this, and especially for the sweet lady who will selflessly choose us to parent her baby.
And lastly, I want to leave you with a few pictures from our adoption announcement session. It really pays to have your sister be a professional photographer 😉
Sweet girl I'm so excited to read this. I know this year has been a tough one. Huge prayers coming your way! I'm not sure if you are friends with Emily Cullen but their adoption story was fun to follow and I've loved watching her be a momma. You two have so much love to give and I know God is preparing the perfect reunion for you.

Congratulations!! Adoption is something that has always been on my heart from a young age. My coworker adopted domestically and it was the most amazing gift to be able to watch her process from the start and now see her with her little two year old (she was there when he was born!). Y’all are going to be great parents!

Yay!!!!!!!!! What super exciting news!!! I've followed your story and am so happy for you that this is going to be the next chapter! Some dear friends of mine have a story similar to yours, and they decided to adopt, and now have two beautiful boys whom they adopted at birth each time. And, a super neat twist is that the boys are actually biological half-brothers. Each adoptive story is unique and glorious, and may your journey be very blessed!!!
What wonderful news!! Congrats!!! I think adoption is a wonderful thing to do. My friend adopted her two little girls and they are just amazing. They are biological sisters and they were going to be separated as no one wanted to adopter the older girl. However, when my friend found out she took them both and adopted them both. Best of luck, you both will be amazing parents.
