I’m linking up with Shay for this month’s What’s Up Wednesday post!
What we’re eating this week…
We’re eating a lot random things this week since it’s our last week in the apartment. I’ve been trying to use up all of the food we have here before we move so that way I can start fresh at the new house….and I don’t feel like moving lots of food either.
What I’m reminiscing about…
Friday marks 11 months of being married! I can’t believe that a year ago I was running around thinking about all of the things that still needed to be done for the wedding, and now I’m thinking about all of the things that still need to be done before this move!
My favorite kiss! (And I love that veil!!!)
What I’m loving…
My Fitbit! Rachel got one last week so we could compete with our fitness and let’s just say that she’s really made me competitive with this! I needed that accountability, so if anyone wants to be friends on Fitbit, send me an email request at saraheshaneyfelt@gmail.com
What we’ve been up to…
Since this is our first married summer, I’ve really enjoyed being home during the week days that Dustin is home, too. His schedule is weird and sometimes he’s off during some week days and sometimes he is off on the weekends. We’ve loved being able to go to random places during the week. We recently took a little day trip to Tennessee during the week and it was nice going to places without large crowds.
What I’m dreading…
Every week I dread my statistics work….no joke. I’m hoping next summer I’m done with my classes for my master’s degree and I can relax!
What I’m working on…
Packing, grad school homework, preparing for my weekly Bible study, and everything else
What I’m excited about…
Enjoying the new house and neighborhood!
What I’m watching/reading…
In my “free” time, I watch The Real Housewives of Orange County and The Astronaut Wives Club–which is a new show and I’m loving it! The best part of the show is the costumes because it’s taking place in 1959-1960, so the clothes are gorgeous.
And the only thing I’m reading right now apart from my Bible and book for my Bible study is my statistics and literature textbook.
What I’m listening to…
I’ve been listening to Dustin talk about the steps it takes to strip, restain, and poly our table and chairs that will go in the new breakfast room. The table and chairs were an awesome Craigslist find but were an ugly cherry finish–which is not my style at all. He stripped all of the old stain and varnish and restrained it a dark walnut color. He did a wonderful job! If he’s going to do something, he researches it so that he can do the best job possible. He’s a perfectionist that way.
What I’m wearing…
Nike shorts, big tshirts, workout/running clothes….nothing fabulous right now.
What I’m doing this weekend…
MOVING!!!!!! I hope…hopefully all of the paperwork gets done on time so this closing isn’t pushed back until Monday. Apparently rates went up and so tons of people were booking appraisals while they still had rates locked, and this happened at the same time our appraisal was already booked. It’s slowed things down a lot.
What I’m looking forward to next month…
Relaxing in our new home, going to a workshop in Atlanta (which means going to Sprinkles), celebrating Dustin’s 30th birthday and our first anniversary, finishing grad school until the fall term…..lots of good things!
What else is new…
I’ve really been trying to consciously eat healthy although I do crave sweets all the time sometimes. This food battle is something I will have to deal with forever. Does anyone have any tips or tricks that help them?
Bonus: What are you doing for the Fourth of July?
My parents always have a HUGE picnic for the Fourth. As in, 60-70 people come. My stepdad is a cattle rancher so he invites a lot of clients and then our family and friends come. It’s always so much fun and the food is to die for!
