Happy Friday!!!
I know summer has just begun, but I’ve already started thinking about holidays haha! I sent a message to one of my favorite children boutique owners asking about holiday pajamas–dressing Harrison in Christmas pjs is one of my favorite things to do. Amy said she has cute and tasteful Halloween/Fall pjs coming, so I’ll be getting those too! If you are in need of classic baby and children clothing, I highly recommend The White Cottage!!
Okay, let’s get started on my FAVORITE things!!!
One
Dustin and I went out on a date night last Friday night and before we got to our restaurant, we stopped by a running store I used to frequent to buy me a new pair of running shoes. I am missing running so much and ready to get back to it. Now I’ve got to find a good high-impact sports bra. Does anyone have a good recommendation that will keep things from moving? I thought about trying Spanx or Athleta.
Two
I found this candle at Walmart last month and have almost burned the entire candle. It smells just like a Bath and Body Works candle (and the frosted glass even looks similar) but it’s much cheaper!
Three
I ordered this new tank and LOVE it!!! I’ve already worn it a few different times this summer, and I think it looks great with leggings, running shorts, and even biker shorts. It runs TTS. (And ignore Dustin’s clothes piled on top of his chest of drawers. NOTHING MAKES ME MORE MAD THAN THAT AND HE KNOWS IT)
Four
We’ve had LOTS of picnics outside on the back patio this summer for lunch. I have learned that on days when Dustin is at work (he works loooooong hours so we’re home alone all day long), we keep ourselves busy all day. Picnics outside have helped break up the monotony of eating at the table, and they take a lot longer than eating at the table because a certain someone likes to go play in between bites haha!
Five
I saved my most favorite FAVORITE for last!!! My sister (a professional photographer for those who are new) shot a wedding locally Saturday. Sunday, Harrison and I got to tag along to the reception site at the family’s residence to take pictures utilizing wedding florals and furniture. It was so hot and muggy but Harrison was a trooper and did great taking pictures!
I hope y’all have a great weekend! I can’t wait for Harrison to give Dustin his Father’s Day present–I have a feeling it’s going to come in handy 🙂 And that’s all I’m going to say because Dustin may be reading this ha!

That’s so exciting that you’re going to start running again! I’ve been running occasionally and I still can’t do more than 2-3 miles because I feel like I’m going to die (haha) but I love that it really makes me feel like I’m pushing myself. And LOL about Dustin’s clothes on the dresser. Why are boys so dang messy?! Finally, that sweet little picture of Harrison – OH MY WORD. He is just darling, Sarah!

Ohhh isn’t the White Cottage in Alabama? I feel like I have heard about it before. I haven’t bought anything from Carrie Underwood’s line yet, but I keep meaning to try a few things. I will have to check that out. Hope you have a great weekend!

Another bonus to lots of outdoor picnics is less cleaning up afterwards too! My husband worked really long hour and traveled out of town a lot when my 3 boys were little so we got real good at keeping busy and breaking up our days too. I loved summer for the extra freedom and fresh air that always helped them sleep just a bit better and longer too.
Have you ever looked at Dressy Jessie? Harrison would be darling in their outfits. I ordered a monogrammed button down for a little boy, and he got so many compliments.

I was going to share a running bra that I love: “Moving Comfort Fiona Sports Bra” & when I was looking it up on line I saw that they don’t make it any more. <– sadness.
Brooks Dare Scoopback Bra seems to be the closest match. Let us know if you find a running bra that you really like.
Love the picture. He is precious. I love Wacoal bras and usually get one during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. Oh, I see a Moving Comfort recommendation and agree that was a good one! I am picky. My husband used to do that with his clothes but did a remodel and he is so much better about hanging up! Have a great week!
