Happy Monday, y’all!! Today is officially the first day of Christmas break and it’s a busy one–it’s Polar Express morning at the local library; I have lunch with some girls from church; Harrison has a dentist appointment; and then my best friend and her family are coming over for dinner!!!
So, grab a cup of coffee and check out our life lately…
Harrison saw Santa and Mrs. Claus one night at the outdoor mall.
Harrison handed out roses to our Hoopcoming Princess nominees at a basketball game one afternoon–he did so great in front of a giant crowd and literally ran each rose to the girl.
Then that night we went to our downtown for the annual Christmas parade and it was fantastic! My grandfather owned the local meat market downtown when I was growing up, so I have the best memories sitting in the bed of his truck that was parked in front of his shop watching the parade. Now the city doesn’t allow cars parked on the street during the parade, but I’m so happy Harrison will grow up with the same memories I will.
We’ve had movies nights this month watching The Grinch and The Polar Express–and that one was Harrison’s favorite!
Hope and I are on our preschool teaching rotation at church and we’ve shown up matching a few times! This morning we were both wearing green dresses and brown boots haha! Hope and I have been friends since we went to the same daycare, and now many years later, we’re at the same church teaching together and in the same small group.
A friend is making these cross-stitch (I think that’s what it is ha) hoops to raise money for their adoption from India, and she made Harrison this train one for his room! I love it and am going to get it framed after Christmas.
Harrison loves getting a sticker from Kroger every time we go. The last time we went inside, the register we went to only had these stickers to give out and I laughed so hard hahaha
We had some flooding from our bathroom one night and it went under the walls and into our bedroom and the closet under the stairs. This is what our bedroom currently looks like right now–minus the fans. We’re waiting to hear back from insurance so we can get trim redone and new carpet laid…..Merry Christmas to us! LOL
Harrison had his Christmas program at his school and it was the sweetest ever!
He and Dustin ran into friends one day at Chick-fil-a while he was off work and I was at school. I got this sweet picture from my friend after Harrison and her daughter saw each other 🙂
And we’ve done some Christmas shopping!!! We were able to pick up a few gifts for Daddy on Saturday while he was at work. I was nervous there would be a million people at the mall, but we got there as soon as they opened and they didn’t get busy until lunch time.
This week we’ve got to do our Shaneyfelt Christmas Light Drive By, visit the Trash Pandas stadium, and watch a few more Christmas movies!
