Hey hey! I polled everyone on my instagram yesterday about what I should blog about today, and the last I checked, it was 90% voting for a life lately post. So here you are! I get worried that y’all get bored of life lately posts, but it seems like most of y’all don’t :). Here’s a look at our life lately!
Banks has been smiling a ton, but it’s been hard to get it on camera because whenever I pull out my phone, he usually stops smiling ha! I was so happy to get a picture of his sweet little smile. And Banks is also TWO MONTHS OLD!! The time sure has flown.
As per typical Alabama weather, we were under a tornado warning in the middle of the night. I was up feeding Banks at 11pm and checked the weather. I saw that it was going to get bad, but we have a weather radio that alerts us when it does so I wasn’t too worried. A little after midnight, I was back in bed when I heard the hail start to hit the window. I woke up Dustin to tell him the weather was going to get bad and maybe 15 minutes later, the alarm went off for a tornado warning. He checked to see where it was first and then once we saw it was in our town, I ran to get Harrison and we grabbed the bassinet and got in the closet under the stairs. Mississippi was hit the worst, but our little town saw devastation in three separate areas. One life was lost.
The house that my parents built and I lived in for the first 20 years of my life was in an area that was hit. Our old house wasn’t damaged but our old neighbors’ homes were. To see the devastation is crazy. Roads have been closed for days due to clean up.
I laid Banks down in Harrison’s bed one day after we woke him from a nap and Harrison loved it! He’s ready for Banks to take naps with him.
We are at one of my favorite eateries, Taco Mama, and I had my favorite margarita…the sangrita! It’s a mix of sangria and margarita and it’s so so good.
All ready to take a walk in our neighborhood!
And this little boy was ready for his walk, too!! We had a beautiful, sunny day yesterday so we took advantage of it and stayed outside for hours!

I love the photo of Banks and Harrison smuggling! I have two boys, 21 and 24, and I have such sweet memories! So glad you were okay with the tornadoes. Here in FL, we have hurricanes and get some warning at least. Stay safe!

The tornado devastation is just awful. I’m so glad y’all were spared. We were under a tornado watch, and we had some horrible weather blow through, but thankfully, no tornadoes here. One did hit just north of us, though, and it did so much damage. It’s just awful.
