Happy Thanksgiving Eve, y’all! Today is officially the start of Thanksgiving break from school, but I took off yesterday to get everything ready for our Friendsgiving last night–which was yum!
What we’re eating this week…
We started out this week eating this Sloppy Joe Casserole that I made.
We started our Thanksgiving feasts last night and will finish Thursday night. I’m not eating anymore after that!!
What I’m reminiscing about…
Last year was our first married Thanksgiving. There’s something sweet about experiencing the holidays when you’re first married!
What I’m loving…
Our fireplace!
Our weather in Alabama has been crazy–sometimes freezing and sometimes on the warmer side, so we haven’t turned on our heat yet. Thank goodness for a fireplace though!
What we’ve been up to…
The usual–work, grad school, etc. But I have exciting news! Dustin just received a promotion at work and he will be switching to the day shift position!!! That means he’ll be home every single night!!!! I’m really hoping this more structured schedule helps regulate his blood sugars–he’s a Type I Diabetic.
What I’m dreading…
Thanksgiving meals? I know that sounds crazy! I love being with friends and family but because I battle with my weight (and I’ve been consistently using My Fitness Pal and losing weight with that) I’m dreading all of the really fattening food at the 500 meals Dustin and I have to attend–not really that many but it feels like it.
What I’m working on…
I technically should be working on my grad school assignment for this week, but I’ll wait until after Thanksgiving!
What I’m excited about…
Black Friday shopping!!! Anyone with me?
What I’m watching/reading…
I’m catching up on Grey’s and Scandal.
I haven’t done my post of what I read in November, but here are the books I read in October.
What I’m listening to…
Judah and the Lion
Christmas music!
What I’m wearing…
Lots of printed clothing!
And some workout clothes!
What I’m doing this weekend…
Black Friday shopping, Iron Bowl watching, and grad school homework
What I’m looking forward to next month…
Everything Christmas! It’s my most favorite time of the year!
What else is new…
Not much is new except for Dustin’s new job and we are so thankful for that.
Bonus Question:
What’s your favorite Christmas tradition?
Dustin and I started the tradition of buying each other a small gift (under $20) for us to exchange on Christmas Eve. It’s always fun to figure out something to buy and we love giving the gifts to each other!
