I finished up my first week back to school today and I’m looking forward to the weekend more than ever. It’ll be my last free weekend until grad school starts back š I still can’t believe that it’s already 2016! I graduated from high school in 2006, so my ten year high school reunion will be this year–that’s so weird to think about! I still feel like I’m 23 or 24 and trying to figure life out.
Okay, enough freaking out about the current year and let’s look at my list of FAVORITES!
Rachel started a new job while I was out for Christmas break, and her new job gives her an hour lunch break! Woohoo! Lunch dates with my sister are my FAVORITE! We ate at a new restaurant in downtown Decatur and we both had really good sandwiches. I love a good sandwich.
Dinner dates with this stud are another FAVORITE! I had particularly hard day on Sunday, so when he got home from hunting he voted that we go out for supper. #winning
Now that I’ve turned 28, I’ve decided it’s time to really be an adult and drink coffee. We don’t have a Starbucks in my town #smalltownprobs. I was going to head to Starbucks for coffee before I had to be at school Monday for a teacher workday–but I slept in. So I tried a mocha from McDonalds–it was okay, but definitely not my Starbucks.
My new curtains for the living room are my FAVORITE! And I love them so much that I ordered a matching set for the breakfast room. As you can see from the picture, the curtain rod I bought is too long, but ehh, we’ll deal with it.
Okay so I went to Sephora to get my skin matched for new foundation because I hated what I was using currently. I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS NEW FOUNDATION AND IT IS A FOREVER FAVORITE! See how excited I am about it! My face is oily and I’m used to blotting it mid-day. Um, not anymore. Not pictured is the primer I use (Laura Mercier oil free) but with the primer and the foundation, I never, and I repeat NEVER, blot my face anymore! It’s amazing and I wish they would let me be a brand rep because I love that product so much!
Lots of FAVORITES in this picture–the Mahogany Teakwood candle, having a candle lit in the bathroom while I’m getting ready every morning, and the new pedestal I bought for it. Getting ready for the day is sweeter with a sweet smelling candle!
This link up is a new FAVORITE! It’s on Thursday and all you have to do is link a post of a book recommendation or book review. I need recommendations for my 2016 reading list and I bet you do too!
