Last night, some of the ladies in my book club bought tickets to see Katherine Center on book tour in Huntsville. Her most recent book, The Shippers, just came out and just hit the NYT Best Seller list!
An independent book store in Huntsville hosted the night at The Market, the cutest gift shop, and it was a sold out event!
She was so fun to listen to while she gave us stories of her inspiration for writing this novel–like her favorite chapter that contains a hickey scene LOL She talked about one of her books, The Bodyguard, that is currently being made into a movie by Netflix (side note: The Lost Husband and Happiness for Beginners are the other movies of hers that come from her books). She also did a Q&A session after her talk and that was so neat to learn more about her personality.
Her husband was also there supporting her and he’s a 7th grade history teachers, so we talked to him after meeting her since most of our group teaches at the middle school level. He was also so nice!
We got there early enough to get really great seats!
It was such a fun night and a much-needed girls’ night! The only other author I’ve met was Elin Hilderbrand when she came to Muscle Shoals and that was also a fantastic night!
