During the summer months, the kids and I really look forward to the weekends because Dustin is off and able to spend those days with us. This past weekend, we decided to head to Nashville to do a little shopping at the Green Hills Mall on Saturday.

We got to the mall when they opened at 10am and did a little shopping before we stopped for lunch at The Cheesecake Factory at 11am. We wanted to get in for lunch right when they opened in hopes there wouldn’t be a wait–and there wasn’t! It was the babies first time eating there, and we were sat at a table where they had to eat side-by-side. Also their first time doing that and they loved it ha! Merritt kept trying to take Banks’s food from him and Banks kept trying to move Merritt’s hair out of her face like he sees me always do (I have to be strategic on bows because she pulls them out). Also a waitress stopped by with a bowl of fruit for the kids after we got seated and she had cut up the fruit into tiny pieces for the babies–I was so thankful! She wasn’t even our waitress, so I was really touched by her kindness!

Once we got ready to leave, I let Banks get out of the stroller to get some steps in, and you can see that the boys had a great time walking together 🙂

I stayed up to finish this book and sent this selfie to my friend Sarah with my reaction to the book–I LOVED it! I might even say it’s my favorite book by her, and previously my favorite was Every Summer After.

Sunday we went to church and then did our traditional after church pictures together. 🙂
Then I was trying to think about what we were going to do for supper since I didn’t have anything pre-planned and I decided to do a family movie night with a themed supper. We’re going to Disney in September and our goal is to make sure we’ve seen all the Disney movies that pertain to rides and attractions we’ll see. I’ve done this previously with The Incredibles and it was fun!
Last night we chose Winnie the Pooh, so I made Piglets in a Blanket, a Hundred Acre Wood salad, and Beary Good Cookies! Nothing too grand but fun themed food. The boys even helped!

While the boys were helping me, Merritt was…

…doing her own thing :). Merritt was the chillest baby, but she’s really come into her own as she’s gotten older and more mobile. She’s into EVERYTHING and she’s doing things the boys NEVER did! She definitely keeps me on my toes haha!
We had fun watching the movie while we ate dinner. Then it was bedtime!
