YAY!! I’m so excited about today because it’s the first day of mine and Emily’s Fall Favorites link up! To me, Labor Day feels like the official end of summer and today feels like fall has begun!
Today we’re sharing all about our favorite fall scents. The first thing I think of is candles. There’s just something about having a candle burning that immediately makes your space comfortable, welcoming, and cozy–especially in the fall when scents are heavier….if that makes sense.
I do love to buy candles from Bath and Body Works and there are a few that I buy each fall and only burn seasonally.
Mahogany Teakwood is a candle that I burn strictly during cold weather months. I’ve been so ready for fall that I swapped over to this candle last month ha! It’s one that Dustin really loves, too.
Leaves is another candle that I burn every single fall. It does not smell like a pile of burning leaves, which is what the name first led me to believe haha! It smells like a mix of apple and clove–much better than a pile of leaves!
This isn’t a candle that I own (yet) but the jar is just so pretty that it’d be useful after you finished burning this candle. This would be cute with a battery powered tea light or small votive after the candle burned all the way through.
And I’m going to eventually do a post on this, but I am slowly transitioning our home to more natural foods and products. I know that I will be eventually transitioning all of my candles to beeswax because of the toxins regular candles emit.
I love that this brand is made in the USA and is all natural and beeswax and they’ve got a few different fall scents!! If Pumpkin Spice isn’t your favorite flavor, then you’ll probably want to try this Mulled Cider scent–which to me can be both a fall and winter scent.
If you blogged about fall scents, go ahead an link up here! I can’t wait to read everyone’s posts and hopefully find some new favorites. Next week is fall decorating and I love looking at everyone’s homes!

I need to try Leaves since everyone recommends it. I’ll be back tomorrow to link up a post!

Yea!
Just a fun fun post thanks for reminding me there can be a little fun&brightness in the upcoming fall season.
Also for adding the -natural- candle recommendations, will be checking them out. Cris & I only use beeswax or soy candles w/ natural wicks because of the toxins some candles can emit when burned.

Thanks for the reminder I need to grab some new scents! I used up all my candles last fall and I could use some good fall smells to get me in the mood.

BBW candles are manufactured using soy wax, 100% cotton wicks and essential oils … the toxins actually come from poor quality wicks and fragrances used in candle production. Beeswax and “natural” labels do not make a candle less toxic.
If you like Mahogany Woods, try Mahogany Apple! It’s a wonderful fall candle, if you like that warmer, woodsy scent!

I don’t think I’ve ever smelled the Mahogany Teakwood candle. I need to check that one out!

Leaves is definitely the best candle. It is my favorite. I haven’t tried the other one, but now I wish I had seen this before I went to Bath and Body Works this weekend.

Leaves & Mahogany Teakwood are two of my favorite B&BW candles! I am curious about those beeswax candles…I love the idea of something cleaner but I also feel like it would be hard to give up my favorites!
