Happy Wednesday! Today I’m going to share a list of things currently on my mind!
Watching…
Dustin and I just finished the documentary American Gospel on Netflix. I talked about it on stories, but I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it to everyone! It was nice watching some of my favorite pastors/theologians share. We also watched Glory Road on Prime and our next watch is Just Mercy (which is free on Prime right now! I would like to wait until I’ve read the book, but I won’t have a chance before it stops being free)
Reading…
This book by Kristin Hannah!! I’ve just started it and so far I really like it. I also just finished this book by Christian Lauren. I’ve read maybe 6 or 7 of her books so far–they’ve been exactly what I’ve needed the past couple of months…easy to read, doesn’t require much thinking, light and fluffy!
Buying…
ALL THE BEACH THINGS!!! I realized quickly that I needed bathing suits that I could chase after Harrison and crouch down and everything stays in place. I got this one in from Summersalt and I have a different style on the way from them to try. You can use the code SUMMERTIME for $10 off! Dustin picked up this sunscreen to try on Harrison when he was picking up our Bogg bag. I also made a HUGE Nordstrom order last week of things to try on to see what worked knowing all returns are free (one of the many reasons why I love them!!) Well, pretty much everything I ordered looked terrible on me. One dress looked decent but I needed a size up so I’ve already exchanged that (I’ll share once it comes in and I can get a picture). This is the only top that’s worked for me and I love that it’s school appropriate ha
Thinking…
About everything going on in the world right now and it makes me so sad. But as a Believer in Christ, I know that I live in a broken world full of sin and racial injustice and hate are a result of that. Shay from Mix and Match Mama has a link up today about what we’re doing in our home to encourage equality.
For us in our home, it starts with teaching Harrison (and reminding ourselves of) Gospel truth. Even though Harrison is so young, I know it’s not too early to pour these truths into him. We are teaching him that all are created in the image of God and deserve to be treated that way (Imago Dei) and to love your neighbor as yourself (for example, we are even each other’s neighbors). I buy children’s books and toys that are not predominately white because I don’t want Harrison to think white is “normal.” Personally, I make sure that I follow theologians of color that have sound doctrine. These are things that I’ve already been doing, but one thing I realize I haven’t been conscious of is supporting black owned businesses. This is something I will be making more of an effort in!
Wanting…
To lose a lot of weight quickly ha! I’ve been working on it the past couple of weeks and while it’s been slow and hard, I’m trying to regain my self discipline. I’ve signed back up with Weight Watchers since that’s how I lost all of my weight after college (60 lbs!), it’s just harder now because I’m having to make sure Dustin and Harrison have enough food to eat lol
Doing…
Lots and lots of time has been spent playing with Harrison and it’s been wonderful. I’m also exercising every other day (so I don’t have to wash my hair every day lol!!) and I’m still enjoying my Peloton! It’s been the best purchase!

I’m so glad you still love your peloton, I really think I need one! You and Dustin are the best parents and the most important thing is that you’re raising Harrison with so much love, understanding and faith in the Lord! You are the perfect role models!

I am SO glad I bought the Peloton, too. Seriously – a worthwhile purchase and I think it’s been keeping me sane all this time. 🙂
