Happy Last Day of May, y’all! It’s been a while since I linked up with Shay and did a WUW, but I’m excited to share about our May since it was super busy.
What we’re eating this week…
I’ll be honest, I have not been the greatest at meal planning since Banks was born. I’ve been keeping things simple and cooking a protein and a vegetable for the most part. This week I plan on making a batch of this chicken salad to have on hand for lunch or a light dinner. We might also grill burgers and make chicken fajitas.
What I’m reminiscing about…
Banks wore this bubble to church this past Sunday, which had me reminiscing about when his big brother wore it…
Harrison was wearing this at 7 and 8 months and Banks has it on at 4 months haha!
What I’m loving…
Well, I don’t have this yet BUT I feel like I’m going to love it….
Back in December when we had a water leak in our master bath that went into our bedroom, I told Dustin we might as well go ahead and redecorate our bedroom since it has been while since I first decorated it. Then everything was put on the back burner when Banks was born and I went unpaid the rest of school. But once the Memorial Day sales hit, I was ready to buy new bedding and this is what I ordered (It looks like the sale is still going on!!). Our last bedding was Pottery Barn, and I’m excited to try something new. My next purchases will be curtains and a piece of art from an artist that I have been obsessed with.
What we’ve been up to…
The boys have been wearing matching outfits because I know I can get away with it while they are at this age haha!
I went to a coronation party that I blogged about here.
Lots of time spent outside…
We dedicated Banks at church.
We had a hot air balloon stop by school on our last day…
What I’m dreading…
Absolutely nothing!!!!
What I’m working on…
Reading a few more books this summer, eating healthier, making time to workout, and putting Banks on a sleeping schedule so he takes more than 15-20 minute cat naps!
What I’m excited about…
Just being home this summer with my boys!
What I’m watching/reading…
Watching: Summer House reunion…I love Summer House and have been watching since season 1, but I feel like they need to regroup because the drama was annoying this season and so were some of the cast members
Reading: I’m currently reading this book that I’m really nervous about because I hope I love it as much as her others.
This was my most recent read and I will say that Every Summer After was much better and I don’t know how she will top that one!
What I’m listening to…
loud children and a few podcasts here and there when I get a moment ha!
What I’m wearing…
Most days, a baby LOL. Harrison was not really into being worn and was totally fine hanging out on his own playing, but Banks is the total opposite and he prefers to be held ALL THE TIME 🙂
Other than that, lots of athleisure this summer and I may dedicate a post to those clothes in June
What I’m doing this weekend…
Dustin has to work this weekend, so I’m sure the boys and I won’t be doing much. My mom’s retirement party is Sunday. She retired from teaching at the end of this school year where she taught over 38 years!
What I’m looking forward to next month…
Lots of time spent together! We worked with Harrison on making a bucket list for this summer and it was really funny to see what a 4 year old wants to do this summer. We were throwing ideas out like go to the zoo, splash pad, vacation, etc. Harrison was contributing ideas like eat ice cream and set a marshmallow on fire haha!
What Amazon purchase did I love this month…
I’ve used lots of sleep sacks over the years, but I ordered this one for Banks and really love it. It’s like a quilt and the zipper hooks at the top but zips to the bottom so it’s not bulky at his neck.

I LOVED Every Summer After so I have Meet Me at the Lake on my list of books to read, but pretty much everybody has said that it’s not as good as Every Summer After. Such a bummer!
