Happy Wednesday, friends! When Emily and I were discussing our topics for this year’s link up, we have our usual topics that we love to feature each year like our fall home decor and fall fashion, but we also like to introduce new ones each year, too.
This is one I’ve been really excited about because not only do I feel strongly about having certain music and movies that I feel are perfect for fall (or cold weather in general), but I’m also really excited to get ideas from y’all!
Music
When Harry Met Sally is my ALL TIME FAVORITE movie ever!!! I love watching it in the fall and I really love watching it in the week in between Christmas and New Year’s. The soundtrack is fabulous and perfect for cooler and slower days.
A few other favorites are…
Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Steve Tyrell, and Leslie Odom, Jr.
Movies
Y’all know what I’m going to say–Hallmark Fall Harvest movies are always so good! I haven’t had a ton of time lately to watch the newest ones except for Follow Me to Daisy Hills (which was so good!!), so I’m going to share a few previous ones I love.
I love how this movie mixes in wedding planning and autumn. I’ve always loved the idea of a fall wedding (but you know, living in the South and it’s football season), so any movie that lets me escape to a wedding in the fall is my kind of movie.
This movie is so cute because the girl can’t cook (but her mom owns a bakery) and the guy can and helps her out (but his mom owns a competing bakery). You know where it’s going with the love story, but it is always one I stop and watch when it’s on tv!
Eek!! I love this movie so much!! The couple above got married as teenagers and thought that it was annulled, but they find out later when the guy is engaged that they are still married!! It’s a really cute movie and the two main characters have great chemistry.
Books
Okay, this is the one I need the most help with–I can’t seem to think of a book that I would classify as being a “fall” read. Maybe something by Nicholas Sparks? Please leave a comment with any book you feel like is a fall read!
