Yesterday was jam-packed with family time. I wish I could say that I was spending today recuperating and relaxing–except that I have lots to accomplish off of my list since yesterday was so busy!
I started off the morning with a short 1-mile run and squats and a plank. Then Dustin and I headed to meet up with my dad’s side of the family to decorate my gran’s grave. This is something we do together each year.
Then we headed up to my mom and stepdad’s house for a cookout and some homemade ice cream!
This is where I get my love of aprons from 🙂
Getting ready for a self-timed family picture
Then we headed home to change clothes and play golf (I drove the golf cart)
Eight of us makes for 5 hours of golf playing! It was really hot and really long and I was over it after 2 hours. But I was glad to be able to spend time with my family today!
They teamed up on the back 9 and this team came in 2nd–Dustin and my cousin Alex played a good game!
I am thankful for the men and women who serve in the US military and have made sacrifices that make fun days like yesterday possible. We live in a country where we don’t have to fear for our safety, and because of that, I am thankful for those who risked it all!
How was your Memorial Day?
