Happy Friday! The countdown is on until spring break and we’ve got one more week to go. AND during spring break, Merritt will be turning ONE!! I can’t believe a whole year with her is almost here.
As usual, I’m sharing a few of my FAVORITE things with y’all!
one
I mentioned this on IG yesterday, but I’ve been using cookie cutters to cut the boys’ sandwiches into different shapes. I’ve picked mine up from random places (like Target and Hobby Lobby), but I found some cute ones on Amazon and these will be my next purchase! The boys would love these!

Baseball season is here and this is Harrison’s second year to play. It’s amazing watching him so far this year because he has improved SO MUCH! It’s funny to think that last year at this time, I was 39 weeks pregnant waddling to the baseball field with a 13 month old who did not want to stay in the stroller–but wanted to run around instead. For yesterday’s practice game, I got to bring my now two year old and almost one year old in that same stroller to watch their big brother play ball–God is good!

I binged Meghan’s new show, With Love, Meghan, and I AM OBSESSED!!! It was so beautifully done, so wholesome, and so inspiring and encouraging. I love how she likes to elevate the everyday–light a candle at dinner, send a sweet note to a friend using nice stationery, or even eat dinner using the fine china! Another comment that she made on the show has really stuck with me. She said that she believes love is in the details, which is how I feel when I do things like use cookie cutters for the boys’ lunches or draw on their ziploc back in their lunchbox.
I can’t wait to make her honey lemon cake she made in episode one!
I’ve been really shocked at all of the hate she’s received online for this show. I think a lot of people forget she had a lifestyle blog way before Harry called The Tig that was just like her show. She’s coming out with a second season this fall and I can’t wait!!!

The weather this week has been such a FAVORITE and we’ve taken advantage of it after school by eating our afternoon snack outside and playing until supper time. Merritt loves swinging in Banks’s swing and the boys love playing on their play set. I think I get spring fever worse than my students because I hate being stuck inside when the weather is so nice and I’m ready for school to be out. I’m hoping our spring break has good weather and doesn’t have a cold front come through–that’s happened many times.

I’m about to reorder my 5th bottle of this spray because it’s so great! This is what I use on Banks’s hair for his daily maintenance and it’s so lightweight and keeps his curls looking fresh. I use it every day until I wash his hair and there is not build up like some hair products can have. I wanted to share in case you or someone you know has super curly hair and it’s frizzy in the morning after sleeping all night.
Okay, I’m off to enjoy this nice day before we get tornadoes all day tomorrow!
Cutting sandwiches with cookie cutters is so cute, my girls used to love it.
Good luck to Harrison with the baseball.
I am not Meghan’s biggest fan but I was shocked by the hate, especially those who just watched to be mean. Why watch something or someone that you don’t enjoy.
How lovely to be getting outside more, the weather has been mostly lovely here too.
The shapes have made opening his lunchbox fun and exciting now! And yes! Why waste your life watching something from someone you don’t like?! I certainly don’t have time to watch things from people I don’t care for!
