Happy Birthday Banks!

Today, this sweet and handsome cutie is three years old!

I often forget that Banks is just now turning three because he’s so smart and has the vocabulary of a child much older than him. He is the sweetest and most caring little boy I know. For example, if I’ve been in our bedroom folding clothes and he didn’t know it, he’ll come look for me and tell me that he just wanted to check on me and make sure I was alright. 🙂

He has such a protective heart and calls Merritt and I “his girls.” He loves rough-housing with Harrison and then playing in Merritt’s kitchen with her. And because they are so close in age, I absolutely love watching them interact with one another–Banks trying to take care of Merritt and Merritt trying to do everything Banks does.

Banks loves train, super heroes, Woody and Buzz, and Alabama football. He loves eating bread and carbs above all else–except when he eats strawberries. He constantly talks about our trip to Disney back in the fall and talks about how next time, he will ride the Slinky Dog Dash haha.

I also think about his birth parents today. They made a hard but loving choice to choose Dustin and I to be Banks’s parents, and I am eternally grateful to them. My heart feels like it could explode sometimes with just how much I love Banks. He will forever be my big boy baby 🙂
