Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday, friends! I hope y’all have had a good week–ours has been pretty rainy during the middle of the week, and I’m hoping all of that has passed because there’s nothing worse than being stuck inside the house with an energetic little boy who loves to run!

Now, onto a few of my FAVORITES for the week…

ONE

TWO

Dustin and I have plans tonight to go see Top Gun Maverick and I am excited! I’ve heard so many great things about the movie. We recently watched the original Top Gun in prep for this, so I will keep y’all filled in about our thoughts!

THREE

Our neighborhood is adding on and behind our house is where all of the new houses and roads are going. Our daily routine is going to watch the construction workers and machinery build the new road. Harrison wanted to go out our back gate the other day and watch from there, and he actually requested me to take his picture! It is my most FAVORITE thing to be home with him this summer! It’s been challenging at times (what I’ve heard people call a “threenager” is in full effect over here at the Shaneyfelt house), but it’s been really rewarding at the same time.

FOUR

Our local library hosts a story time for kids Harrison’s age on Wednesday’s and the first Wednesday he had swim lessons, but this week we were finally free to go! He was pretty timid at firs and wanted me to hold him during story time, but when it was over and the kids got to dig for seashells and a spot opened up for him, he had a great time digging in the sand. I also let him pick out some new library books and he chose some Peppa Pig books (which I’ve tried to read in a British accent and I’m terrible at haha!).

FIVE

Next week my best friend Janie and I will be heading off to The Gospel Coalition Women’s Conference! We went back in 2018 (it was cancelled in 2020), and now we’re so excited to go back again. Anyone else going?!
