Happy Monday!!! I unintentionally took last week off of the blog, but last week was SO busy! And any free time I got, I just spent either hanging out with Dustin or watching tv ha!

On opening weekend, Friday after school a group of teachers went to see Crazy Rich Asians (we’re missing Christy in this picture!!) and we LOVED it! It was hilarious and even though there were some obvious differences from the book, I didn’t mind them and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Now, I’ve got to read the second book so they can hurry up and make that movie ha!

I was just talking about these with one of my friends! Kroger has been selling these ceramic pumpkins the last two years and each year they bring out new designs. The two I already have aren’t pictured, and I’m hoping one day to add the stacked pumpkins (in the bottom right of the picture) to my collection one day. I LOVE seeing things like this because I’m so ready for fall!
Speaking of fall, don’t forget about mine and Emily’s fall link up!! It starts next week with crock pot meals and I can’t wait to see what everyone links up because I am all about the crock pot during cold weather.
We’ve had some lower humidity at nights, so Dustin and I have taken advantage of that and enjoyed some time out on our back porch. Lower humidity doesn’t mean less mosquitos, so we’ve had to burn those citronella candles but that doesn’t bother me.
Last weekend while we were siting on the back porch, I got a call from a girl in my small group who had a flat tire driving a work truck and needed help. Dustin changed the tire and so I definitely had to snap a photo of this 😂 I’m thankful I’m married to a man who can do stuff like this without any problem!
The high school football season kicked off this past Friday night and our team had a home football game against a pretty difficult opponent. If you didn’t know, Dustin and I went to the same high school and we live in that same town (and I teach for the junior high!). Dustin just loves watching any and all football and I love being able to watch former students.
We enjoyed a lunch date after church on Sunday!
I bought some Dreft to start washing the baby clothes I’ve bought (which isn’t much 🙈). I carefully read the washing directions on each of the outfits and made sure I did everything perfectly. As I was getting everything on a hanger to put in the closet and could smell the detergent scent, I thought about how there were times that I never thought I’d be doing this. There were times when my sadness won over and I thought that Dustin and I would be childless forever. But these clothes represent God’s goodness in our lives. Our life right now is definitely not what I pictured whenever I used to think about my life with children, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I've been so bad about blogging lately, too! You should share your list of baby items on the blog — I'd love to see what you guys plan to purchase! Looking forward to the linkuo, too!

Seeing that picture of the baby clothes just makes me tear up – I KNOW how much it means to you! And I am still obsessed with that football picture – it's such a good one!

I love that picture of you and Dustin at the football game!! It's a framer 🙂

Oh look at those baby clothes! Also, Dreft is the best. Even though my kiddos are big now I still love the smells. Have you tried the scent boosters (unstoppable) version of Dreft? I also teach at my former school and love going to the home football games to see former students and even classmates. I hope you have a great Monday!

Sounds like you all have been having some great time together! Jared is football obsessed too (we went to the same high school too) and we are hoping to make it to some more of our local games this year. That last picture brought me to serious tears. God is SO GOOD and I cannot wait for you all to bring home a sweet baby to wear each of those outfits!

I love that you and Dustin went to the same school and that you teach there now! That is really neat! Hopefully in a few years your babies will go to school there, too. :o)

CRA! Pumpkins! Football! Baby clothes! I’d take off & focus on that, too;) gender neutral baby is tough to find, but pixie lily, paty & magnolia baby had some great options, fyi. And a precious children’s boutique in Germantown/Memphis, tn had a whole section of gender neutral! Spoiled sweet boutique & the ladies working were super helpful and adorable! No I don’t own it or work there ha just stopped in while passing through & fell in love! They’re on ig too & will ship, fyi!
