Happy Wednesday!! I hope y’all had a sweet Valentine’s Day :). I told Dustin Monday night that I used to not care about Valentine’s Day at all when I was single, but being in a relationship made that holiday fun because I love any excuse to celebrate! But becoming a mother made Valentine’s Day 10x more fun :). Since we’re in the midst of the newborn phase and post-adoption expenses, we decided not to get any gifts for one another and just picked up Harrison a little Valentine treat.
Anyway, since yesterday was Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d share my favorite romantic comedy movies of all time, and I’d love to hear your favorites too!
5. The Ugly Truth
Talk about a movie that makes you laugh! I remember first watching this movie and laughing so hard at a certain restaurant scene….if you remember what I’m talking about LOL. Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler have great chemistry and as you can imagine, there is a happy ending! (My runner up was My Best Friend’s Wedding)
4. The Wedding Date
I love this movie!!! I love the concept that she has to hire a wedding date and it ends up being the insanely attractive Dermot Mulroney. Of course they end up falling in love in the end, but I love how he genuinely falls in love with her in the movie–it’s sweet. Fun fact: I got my idea of my wedding recessional song from this movie! There’s a scene where the women are going to a bar for the bachelorette party, and the KC and the Sunshine Band song “Boogie Shoes” is playing–I’ve loved that song ever since. When it came time to pick a recessional song after Dustin and I were pronounced husband and wife, I chose Boogie Shoes to set the tone for what to expect for our reception! And it was all because of this movie 🙂
3. Pretty Woman
Is there anyone who doesn’t love Pretty Woman? I can actually quote the entire movie because I’ve seen it so much. My mom let me watch it with her when I was younger and I was hooked–Julia Roberts is a fantastic actress and the movie is a rom-com classic! Oh, and in college when I went to LA and went on a Hollywood tour, they drove us by the store that rejected her the first time she walked in to shop.
2. You’ve Got Mail
This is another movie that I can quote entirely. I love Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan together in this movie. I love that she’s an independent bookstore owner and I love the nostalgia of the beginnings of the Internet and chatrooms. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love this movie!
1. When Harry Met Sally
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! And yes, I really can quote this entire movie. I love the friendship aspect and the passing of time in this movie. The soundtrack is also something I listen to each fall because it’s a lot of Harry Connick Jr. Also, the end of the movie at the New Year’s Eve Party when Harry runs to tell Sally how much he loves her makes me cry every time, and Dustin knew how much I loved that part of the movie that he actually quoted that part to me when he was proposing haha!! “When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.”
What are some of your favorite romantic comedy movies of all time?

I love all of these, although, I haven’t seen The Ugly Truth since it came out!! My faves are Wedding Planner and My Best Friend’s Wedding! How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days would probably also be in my top 5!

LOVE The Wedding Date! Or really anything with Dermot Mulroney.
I really love 27 Dresses and Crazy, Stupid, Love (that’s the funniest to me)
