Happy Friday! I hope everyone’s Thanksgiving was just what you hoped it would be–poor Dustin had to work, but he was able to make his family’s meal on Wednesday night and eat lots of good food! Both my mom and my dad’s meals were yesterday, so he got plates made for him that he enjoyed for supper last night!
If you’re anything like me and you enjoy your Thanksgiving meal (or in my case, meals LOL) but want to get back on track after Thanksgiving is over, then today’s post is for you!
I wasn’t going to post today, but as I woke up and was back to weighing out my coffee creamer and adding my collagen powder, the thought came to me that this wellness gift guide would be great for someone looking to take care of their health now and not wait until January 1st!
I have been consistently using this exact collagen powder for over a year now and I can really tell a difference in my skin! I also love that this has protein in it, so I add it to my morning coffee (unflavored is my favorite) and I have 20g of protein right there! This is a great price and cheaper than what I get it for at Costco!!
This is the exact food scale that I use and it’s at a great price today! I weigh all of my food out daily and this scale makes it easy. I’ve also had it for over a year and just recently had to put new batteries in it, so they last a long time!
This book is on my list of books I want (for Christmas, cough cough Dustin haha)! I follow this guy on instagram and really like all of the things he posts. I think this is his most recent book and based on what he’s posted from this book, it seems really doable and common sense–like he’s really big on getting anywhere from 30-50g of protein per meal so that you make sure you are full and don’t want to snack in between meals. He also believes salt is good for you ( lots of functional doctors and nutritionists believe the same thing) and he talks a lot about why you should add salt to your diet instead.
Speaking of adding salt to your diet, this is the electrolyte drink I LOVE!!! I feel like I’ve tried them all–I tried LMNT first and while I really liked the saltiness of it, it was just too expensive to maintain that habit. Then I tried Liquid IV because you can buy it at Walmart, but as soon as I drank my first one, I felt like I was drinking Kool-aid–it was so sweet! I was surprised at the amount of sugar in it. This Redmond Life drink mix is the best! It’s not too salty and full of great ingredients. I use the code DRJAMES for an extra 15% off because I do not pay full price for this!

That book looks good! I’ve been trying to do 25 grams of protein four times a day!
