Today’s post was going to be so bright and happy, but after the Queen’s passing yesterday, I’m just not going to put a ton into today’s post.
But first, come back Monday for an EXCITING ADOPTION UPDATE!!!
ONE
Y’all, I talked about this book earlier this week and just gushed about how wonderful it is. The story is incredible and what’s even more incredible, is that it’s based on true events. I resonated so much with the main character, Pheby, and her desire to do everything in her power to protect her son. This book isn’t long, so if you’re a quick reader, you can get through it fast.
TWO
Harrison had soccer yesterday and he’s pretty much infatuated with Charlie, the only girl on his team. They held hands and ran around while the game was going on LOL But he did score a goal–he picked up of the ball and ran all the way to the goal and threw the ball in….and I’ve never laughed so hard in my life haha!
THE QUEEN
I’m still so shocked by how quickly the Queen’s passing was. It was during my 5th period class that I got a phone call from my friend Caroline telling me the Queen had died. I had been keeping an eye on the news all day, and I’m so sad that I missed it actually being broadcast. I watched the new Prime Minister’s speech and it was so strange to hear her say King Charles III and even stranger when she ended with God Save the King.
**Be sure to check back Monday for a more uplifting post!

I’m still shocked at how fast she passed, too. She was just photographed two days prior with the new Prime Minister and I thought she looked fantastic. I wonder what on earth happened over the next 48 hours to make her go downhill so fast.
