Hi friends! I’m up and actually getting ready today because I’m going to sub at summer school today–it should be incredibly easy and also a way to have a little extra spending money!
Today I’m sharing a little look at our life lately!
Banks’s favorite thing to do once you lay him down in the living room on his play mat is to immediately crawl to Harrison’s toys. Harrison was working on building a house with his blocks and Banks army crawled his way over there to see what he could get in to. I love this little peek into (what I pray is) a friendship between these two boys!
I think I’ve finally figured out how to help Banks sleep more–and that’s feeding him more solids than I thought he was supposed to have at this age haha!!! Lately I’ve been feeding him a vegetable and a fruit, but last night I was out of fruit for him so he just ate a bunch of carrots. HE LOVED THEM! It’s so funny to see him get so excited when the spoon is coming toward him, and he’ll cry in between bites because he wants more. He also now grabs at the spoon and tries to feed himself–it’s wild.
I love a summer supper!!! Dustin grilled chicken (ignore how much sauce I have–it came out of the bottle too fast), and I roasted asparagus and sautéed squash with some garlic. It was so, so good. Also, if you love BBQ sauce like I do but want something a “little” better for you, you need to use Stubbs sauce! There isn’t any corn syrup or artificial flavors added like in other BBQ sauces that I used to eat.
I wish I had a picture from Tuesday night because I helped host a lingerie shower for my friend Michaela and it was a blast! She teaches with me but is moving away because her soon to be husband lives too far away for her to keep teaching at my school :(. BUT a lot of us got together Tuesday night to celebrate her and we laughed so hard we were crying at some points–it really was a fun night!
I’m off to get ready to go teach at summer school today–see you back here tomorrow for a Friday Favorites post!!

Thanks for the suggestion on Stubbs.
Hubs tends to like Sweet Baby Ray’s bbq sauce but I think it has high fructose corn syrup(HFCS). Like that many ketchups have stopped using HFCS so that has been a win.

Harrison and Banks are going to be the best of friends! I’m so excited to watch their friendship grow as they get older! There is nothing like seeing your babies loving on each other!
