Happy Friday!! Even though we are in the thick of the newborn days (Banks is 3 weeks old), I feel like I am finally coming up for air. I feel like we’ve finally landed on a formula and bottle that works for his tummy, so that makes a much happier baby.
Let’s go ahead and get to my FAVORITES from this week!!
ONE
This is a collage of Banks and Harrison at the same age–except Harrison was born premature so he was much smaller than Banks is now. For those who are new, I’m only a mom by the grace of God and through the gift of another woman. Adoption is not something I thought about when I was a young girl dreaming of being a mom, but now it’s something that I could never picture my life without–I wouldn’t get to be a mom to these beautiful boys without it and they would never be brothers without adoption. Soli Deo Gloria–For Glory to God Alone!
TWO
I ordered Banks an Easter basket this week to match Harrison’s Easter basket. Both boys have the cream liner and their name monogrammed in cornflower blue. These baskets are beautiful in person and great quality! And they are also on sale currently! I really wanted timeless baskets when I was looking for Harrison’s–something that I could use when he was a baby, but also something I could use when he was 18 haha! These baskets will really stand the test of time–and they are on sale!!!
THREE
I’ve got spring weather on my mind with our rather warmer days here lately. This Lake nightgown is my favorite thing to sleep in and I’m ready to add another one to my collection! I really changed my way of thinking about what I slept in each night after reading a post from Do Say Give about nighttime wear. Go check it out if you haven’t! (By the way, I order my normal size and dry it. It does shrink but not to where it’s tight on me. Order a size up if you want it looser)
FOUR
I’ve talked about my Ember mug before, but wow, I really need it these days. It takes me a LOOOOONG time to drink coffee some mornings and it’s nice to take a sip, put my cup down, and 30 minutes later take another sip and my coffee is still nice and hot. I feel like this is such a luxury item (which is why it was my Christmas present), but it’s really come in handy! I’ve even taken it in the car with me in the morning to drop Harrison off at school haha
I hope y’all have a great weekend! We have our first social worker visit tonight. I really like our social worker so these visits are always great!
