Hi friends! For today’s post, I’d like you to pretend we’re sitting down with a nice cup of coffee and chatting about all the things 🙂
-I cannot figure out how to get Banks to sleep through the night. I’m writing this Monday morning, and as of last night, his bedtime bottle was at 7:30pm and he slept all the way until 4 am! That’s amazing for him! It’s usually a wake up after 5 hours and he’s starving. I’ve been slowly introducing solids to him but yesterday decided to give him one vegetable and one fruit as a “meal” about 30 minutes before his supper bottle and I’m wondering if that actually helped. It just feels so weird feeding a baby solids who cannot sit up yet on his own because I waited until Harrison was sitting to feed him, but I’m constantly reminding myself that Banks and Harrison are two totally different people!
-I think I mentioned it on here already and I’m going to do a post once I get curtains bought and hung, but we got new bedding after having to redo our bedroom because of a water leak. I invested in this bedding and let me tell you, IT’S THE BEST BEDDING I’VE EVER SLEPT ON!!!! It literally feels like I’m sleeping in a cloud. Dustin has even said it’s harder for him to get up in the mornings because our bed is so comfortable now ha! While it’s pricey, it’s bedding we plan on using a loooooong time, and also, wouldn’t you want to invest in something if it means you get a good night’s sleep? We got this starter bundle, this duvet insert in lightweight after I read all the reviews and people said it was the most amazing insert they’ve ever used (so far I’m agreeing!), and added these Euro shams.
-I’m almost finished with this book! This is Christina Lauren’s latest book and I read a majority of it while we were traveling to and from Tennessee on Saturday for the Blue Angels show. There are parts of this book that I really love and then parts that are just okay. I love the premise of the story–romance writer with writer’s block gets cast for a dating show where specific romance heroes are cast to date her–that part is great! However, I’m having a hard time with the main character, Fizzy. She’s just a little too forward for my personality and some of the things she says, I think, “OH MY WORD, I CANNOT BELIEVE SHE JUST SAID THAT TO HIM!” I do love Connor, her producer turned crush :). I’d probably give it 4/5 stars for those reasons but other people may give it 5–you should read it to see for yourself!
-I love being a mom to two boys. I love how Harrison introduces Banks to people as Banksie. This little boy is going to give me a run for my money–he doesn’t stay still–but gosh, he’s the cutest! Today looks like it’s going to be overcast and gross, so we may take Banks on his first field trip to Hobby Lobby 🙂
I hope you enjoyed this coffee chat!

Jacob didn’t sleep through the night until he was like 6-8 months old if I’m remembering correctly. It may have been even later than that?? I think I blocked it out. Haha. He was ALWAYSSSS hungry so he could never make it longer than a few hours without needing to eat. He finally started to do better once we introduced rice cereal, and then he started doing really well once he was able to start eating some actual fruits and veggies, too. Now he has excellent sleep habits, so I guess it all worked out! I’m dying to read that book! I love Christina Lauren! I’m waiting for my hold to be available at the library!
