This weekend was great, and what made it so great was the fact that Dustin and I were able to spend the WHOLE ENTIRE WEEKEND TOGETHER!!! And that’s in all caps because we haven’t spent a whole weekend together with few commitments. Saturday was my favorite because we were together all day long–can you tell I was dying for some quality time together?? Haha!
Friday
I colored my hair Thursday and did the “balayage” (check out this link to learn more about this trend) look for something that’s low maintenance. Blonde hair is expensive! I think I’ll keep this look until my next appointment in late October and then I’m going back blonde because I think I look so much better blonde. And this is a half-smile because I was so exhausted by the end of the week.
Friday night our small group got together for game night and it was so much fun! We played Battle of the Sexes and a game on a phone that was similar to catchphrase. I passed out in bed around 11 AND that was with a nap before heading to game night.
Saturday
Dustin and I went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast after sleeping in! I enjoy getting up early on the weekends to enjoy the days but I really needed to sleep in Saturday. When I say sleep in, I mean 8:15….isn’t that sleeping in?
I deep cleaned the house after breakfast and went to the gym around lunch time. I ran 15 minutes to get my heart rate up and then did a bunch of weight exercises–kettle bell, medicine ball, exercise ball.
We worked on centering our TV…again. We mounted it a month ago when we moved in but it wasn’t centered. We left it because it was so much work mounting it. But with my sister having an AdvoCare mixer at my house yesterday, that spurred us on to centering it and hiding all of the cords.
Sunday
Church and then Rachel’s AdvoCare mixer. The TV is as centered as it’s going to get, and we had to bring the bluray player in from the bedroom to show a movie, so that’s why those cords are there. I’m waiting until tomorrow to decorate for fall and then that mantle will be decorated!
I did a little blogging while catching up on Bachelor in Paradise.
And I cooked supper and read a little in my Southern Living at the same time. I don’t have much time to read for fun while I’m in grad school, so I have to fit in reading when I can. I’m just waiting on May when I can resume my reading for pleasure!
