Happy Wednesday, y’all! I don’t have a great blog post planned for today because I’ve been sucked into watching Schitt’s Creek on Netflix 🙈 If you haven’t seen it, it’s hilarious and addicting….and wasting so much of my life ha!
So today I’m going to do a brain dump because right now, I have about 5 million things on my mind currently!
-Sunday was FREEZING and I realized that I don’t have any warm nice clothes for church. I wore the chunkiest scarf I own so that meant I had to wear my hair straight for church. But because it really hasn’t been super cold here for an extended amount of time, I’ll just keep putting off buying warm clothes ha!
-Dustin got me this Nespresso for Christmas, so I’ve worked really hard perfecting my lattes so they taste somewhat similar to Starbucks’s. I’m getting closer 😂
-Speaking of coffee, I’m about to start having to drink a cup in the afternoon/evening! I get so sleepy starting around 7:30-8pm and night and that cannot happen for me–especially when baby gets here and I know I will be surviving on little sleep.
-I really need new luggage. My luggage set was from graduation and it’s hot pink with white polka dots….definitely screams 18 year old haha! The handle on my large suitcase is broken and the toiletries bag is broken. Dustin and I found some at TJ Maxx on Monday but I just told him to wait. Anyone else like that? You need something but when it comes down to it, you just can’t bite the bullet?! We need to go back this weekend because I can’t put it off much longer!
-I know I’ve said this 500 million times, but if you haven’t read Where the Crawdads Sing, YOU HAVE TO RIGHT NOW!!! I’m going to be rereading it soon because I loved it that much.
-I’ve seen lots of talk on the internet about packing cubes. Are they worth it? We’ll be packing for a long stay, so if they make a huge difference then I’ll buy them. Do they?
-I wrote on IG not too long ago about being so unmotivated lately to workout and that I wanted to find that motivation. Well, I knew the answer was myself and my own self-discipline. So I’ve been much better about saying I’m going to run on a certain day and then actually going and doing it. I used to be so self-disciplined in my eating and exercising, and I’m working to get back to that person–slowly, but surely!
Okay, that’s enough of my rambling for today! See y’all Friday!

Schitt's Creek is amazing – we binge on every season as soon as it comes out! We have packing cubes and I love them, especially for organizing same things like shirts or pants! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

I always struggle to buy something too when I know we really need it lol!!! I love using packing cubes for hubby & I…either if we are sharing one bag that way we can keep our stuff separate and know what belongs to who or if going somewhere for longer than a week it helps just keep a large amount of stuff organized so I can easily see what I have.

I hate spending money on luggage.. but we did bite the bullet and bought a few new pieces just a couple of years ago. Bummer is I spent extra buying through LL Bean for their lifetime replacement and they've since done away with it! I have been looking around every time we travel and seeing what type of bag I'd really love to have and I've decided I want a soft sided duffle bag with wheels. We often don't pack more than 4 days or so worth of clothes since we almost always stay in a house or condo rental and have access to washer/ dryer.

I bet with Presidents’ Day coming up you can get some good sales on luggage—keep an eye out as long as you’re not pressed for them ASAP.
I had a coffee drink in the afternoon on a Monday and then was laying awake that night not able to fall asleep. When baby comes you’ll sleep/be sleepy a lot bc it’s just a huge change. Coffee IV needed hahaha

I have had packing cubes from Ebags for several years now and love them. They make packing so easy and helps me stay organized on a trip. They are nice if you will be staying more than a night or two at a hotel to put them in a hotel drawer, but the clothes stay in the packing cube. By the end of the trip, I use one of the bags for dirty clothes so it is easy to put that in the laundry room when I get home. Our family has used them in different ways to organize clothes by the day, type of clothes, shoes, hair accessories, books, etc. They come in all different colors as well. I would definitely recommend these with your growing family and potential new luggage purchase :).

I don't use packing cubes but I love packing with ziplock gallon bags. They are clear so you can see exactly what is in them and squeeze all the air out to make your clothes as small as possible to pack. My suitcase stays so much more organized and I don't have a million things thrown across the hotel room when I'm trying to find the top I need to wear that day.

Oh man I could use some new luggage for sure! Ok so tell me about Crawdads book – my friend just finished and said she would loan it to me!

Oh, I LOVE Schitt's Creek. So glad you are watching it. Has the newest season come out on Netflix yet? I am anxiously awaiting that, haha. I think it depends on what kind of suitcase you have for the packing cubes. I loved them, but my current suitcase is already divided into two sections, so it kind of eliminates the need for all of them. Still handy for organizing, but I really only use them every once in awhile!

Try a cup of half-caff in the afternoon – I swear, it's the perfect little jolt. And our bookclub just put the Crawdads book on our list! We read it in July, but I'll definitely be reading it earlier, I can't wait!

Yes to packing cubes! You can get so much more in your luggage with them than without. I just pack by categories, using 4-5 in my suitcase.

I definitely need something in the afternoon to pick me up orbI will not make it through the rest of the day. I just started drinking OPTIMUM NUTRITION ESSENTIAL AMINO ENERGY, one scoop in the afternoon and it is awesome. It is a lot like spark from advocare but so much cheaper. You can also subscribe through amazon prime. If I drink coffee by the time I add creamer there goes my calorie budget for the day! Have a great week!

If you haven't already, check Kohl's for your luggage set! They had some incredible deals not too long ago and may still be running something similar. My MIL bought Chris & I each a set for our birthdays last year and we priced TJ Maxx and Kohl's and Kohl's won by a long stretch for similar luggage. Also yes to packing cubes! We've traveled a lot this year, and especially now with Charlie it's so nice to be able to use the cubes in our bags to separate out our things-I think they would be awesome for a long trip, too. If you haven't, check amazon for those as that's the cheapest place I've found.

I love packing cubes! I wondered about those Nespressos. I really want one but you know what, that would make a great blog post! You should show it to us and show us how to make the perfect latte!

I have read so many good reviews on packing cubes!! They save space and you can pack so much, I say go for it!

Packing cubes are really neat and make packing a breeze, you would likely love them. I've heard so many great reviews of the Nespresso, going to have to check it out. Happy rest of the week!

I'm the worst when it comes to spending money haha! The constant procrastinator, even when I know I need something.

We had a Nespresso machine at my previous job and I LOVED it for a little 3pm pick-me-up!

We bought London Fog luggage from TJ Maxx for our last trip, and it help up really well. (We also bought Samsonite last spring, but it isn't as good.) They really have the best deals on good luggage, it just takes a little time to find the perfect bag! My husband is always checking and evaluating the luggage at TJ Maxx lol.
