Friday Faves!

Today marks the end of my first official week of summer. It has been so nice not having to sit on the computer creating lessons, filming myself, replying to 93973029438 emails, and taking part in virtual meetings. I have loved all of the free time! But don’t worry, that free time won’t last long because I’ve got a workshop scheduled in two weeks LOL!

Some “Royal” News

If you follow royal news, you’ve probably heard of Elizabeth Holmes. She started “So Many Thoughts” on instagram where she breaks down the fashion choices of the royals and explains the reasons why they choose to wear what they wear (like politics, the economy, etc). She also just finished a book that will come out soon! Because Kate Middleton started a contest in the UK for residents to submit photos of what their new normal looks like, Elizabeth Holmes did the same for her website…..and she featured me and Harrison!!! Latest Song on Repeat

I’m sure by now that most everyone has watched Outer Banks on Netflix. It’s been one of the best shows we’ve binged during this time at home. One of the best parts about the series was the soundtrack. If you have Apple Music, you can download the soundtrack! This song has already been on repeat and we’ll be listening all summer long while pretending we’re in OBX ha!

Favorite Purchases

I’ve previously mentioned the new mop that I bought and how awesome it is. My mom bought one too and now she’s sold on it. I also mentioned the mopping solution I now use and HOW AMAZING it is! I follow @gocleanco on IG and she recommended it. It’s 1 tsp of Tide powder detergent (she said only Tide works) with hot water. She also says it works on any kind of flooring. I was really grossed out the first time I mopped with it because previously I had used vinegar and water for deep cleaning (it always left water spots though) and then the Swiffer wet mop to spot clean random areas like the kitchen or back door area. The Tide mixture water was a dark gray the first time and I thought, “How in the world are my floors that dirty?!?” The second time I mopped a week later they were a much lighter gray. Y’all need to try it and you’ll be both grossed out and amazed!

I finished reading My Favorite Half-Night Stand in a day and a half. Right now, I’m really enjoying quick. light, easy reads that read more like rom-com movies. Usually I like reading heavier, deeper novels, but with everything going on in the world and the fact that I’ve completely quit watching the news, I need all the light and fluffy I can get!

Christmas Movies All the Time? Yes!

I slept in yesterday until 6:30am and since it was gloomy outside, I decided to turn on The Holiday. I asked on IG if that was weird, and it turns out that LOTS of y’all love watching certain Christmas movies year-round! The most popular movies y’all like to watch all year are The Holiday, Family Stone (this one makes me sad), This Christmas, Finding Father Christmas, ELF, and Love Actually! Sometimes you just need a little Christmas joy to brighten your day 🙂

Mother’s Day Present!

Please ignore my gross fingernails (#whenwasmylastmanicure?) but I wanted to share my Mother’s Day present from Dustin and Harrison! I got a new band with alternating diamonds and amethysts (Harrison’s birthstone). I had been wanting a new band to represent Harrison and this is what they surprised me with! Dustin did a great job of designing it with the jeweler. It’s also rose gold, which is a favorite, and I do love to mix metals!

I hope y’all have a great weekend! We’re supposed to get a break from all of the rain we’ve been having, so I can’t wait to get back outside 🙂
