Hey y’all! It’s the last Wednesday of the month (Hallelujah!) and so I’m linking up with my favorite blogger Shay for What’s Up Wednesday!
What we’re eating this week…
I hate to say that I haven’t meal planned this week at all! I’m flying by the seat of my pants when it comes to suppers this week and I’m not a fan of that.
Monday- turkey burgers and veggies
Tuesday- grilled cheese sandwiches (see, flying by the seat of my pants)
Wednesday- crockpot salsa chicken for burrito bowls
Thursday- maybe a healthy chicken salad??
Friday- ???
What I’m reminiscing about…
I told Dustin the other day that I’ve started to notice my tan from the beach is starting to fade..boo! I really loved our beach trip this year and we’re already talking about going back again!
What I’m loving…
So many things these days!! I love this time of year because of the anticipation of my favorite seasons, IG stories, Hallmark movies, BABY CLOTHES,….lots of things!!
What we’ve been up to…
In case you missed it, we announced early July that we’re adopting!! So we’ve been doing tons of paperwork, background checks, drug tests–you name it. We’ve also been fundraising and we’re announcing our newest fundraiser on Friday!!
And Starbucks released their pumpkin spice lattes yesterday so you better believe I made the trip to go get one! I worked out before I went in hopes that my metabolism would work some of those drink calories off haha! I ordered my drink and then drove to Hobby Lobby to walk around–it was the perfect afternoon!
What I’m dreading…
This heat!! We had a really nice cool spell for about three days where it was in the low 60s in the mornings and the low 80s in the afternoons. It was amazing. Now it’s back to the mid 90s in the afternoons. Fall weather, I need you!!
What I’m working on…
Putting together a nursery, making a list of baby items we need to buy, and finding gender neutral baby clothes!
What I’m excited about…
A three day weekend!!!!
What I’m watching/reading…
Watching the usual: Hallmark, Real Housewives of Dallas, Million Dollar Listing NY, Kardashians, Suits
Reading: not enough!!! I just started reading Awe by Paul David Tripp. Back in June, my bff and I went to The Gospel Coalition Women’s Conference and we both picked up that book. She’s already read it and loved it, so I can’t wait to find the time to sit down and read ha!
What I’m listening to…
PODCASTS!!! I did a post on my favorite podcasts because I cannot stop listening to them! If I have more time, I listen to Journeywomen and if I’m needing something quicker, I’ll listen to Al Mohler’s The Briefing. I also just found a podcast on the royal family so y’all know I’m all over that!!
What I’m wearing…
I’ve got to do better about photographing my outfits!! Here are a few I found from August…
Matilda Jane top and bottom makes it feel like wearing pjs to school!
What I’m doing this weekend…
Probably working on some adoption stuff and the nursery!!! And celebrating Labor Day with Dustin! Oh, and watching Alabama football!
What I’m looking forward to next month…
Hopefully cooler weather!! Painting the nursery, finding a dresser (maybe??), getting a few more baby items–our life is all about baby right now and we love it!

I'm so over this darn heat…over it. I was actually excited last night to receive a notification it was going to be 93 today…you know it's been hot when I'm excited over 93! I'm so ready for college football and some cooler fall weather. If you will send me an email with y'alls new fundraiser info I'll work to add to my Friday faves!
Have a super Wednesday darling Sarah.

I am with Jessi – seems like the perfect way to enjoy a PSL is wandering the aisles of Hobby Lobby! I ended up getting one this morning – PERFECTION. I can't wait to see what you guys end up doing for your nursery! That is going to be such a fun process!

Putting together the nursery is so exciting! The heat is back here and it was painful playing outside with Tatum earlier – so hot!

I dragged my boys to Hobby Lobby this week and had a great time walking around… I try not to go alone as I know they'll rush me out and I'll only spend about 1/2 of what I could otherwise do on my own.

I haven't meal planned all week either. My husband is getting ready to leave for a bit and I've just had zero motivation.
