Prime Day Deals That I LOVE

Happy Wednesday, y’all! Dustin and I just got back from our little getaway yesterday afternoon, and I shared a reel of that on IG, so check it out because I may not blog about our trip until next week!

I wanted to share a couple of Prime Day items that I use and LOVE. I’d also like to point out that there are what feels like a million sales going on right now. Don’t get pressured into feeling like you have to buy something just because it’s on sale!!

I blogged about the air purifiers we have in our house here, but this air purifier is ON SALE!!! This is the exact one that’s in our main open living area and I can’t rave about it more. I truly believe it’s kept us from passing sicknesses around.

We also bought these replacement filters for the purifier. We’ve had this since January 2nd and we will probably change out the filters at the end of July (right before school starts back) in hopes that the typical beginning of the school year sicknesses stay away from us!

I know this is pricey, but I got my Dyson hairdryer for Christmas and I haven’t looked back. I have a lot of hair and it holds onto water, so I used to dread washing my hair because it meant it would take FOREVER to dry my hair. Not any longer. This hair dryer has really sped up my hair drying process so much that I don’t mind washing now. If you have thin hair, I wouldn’t even consider buying this. But if you’ve got hair like me, it’s truly worth the investment!

I bought these last year on Prime Day for the boys as one of their Christmas presents and instead of paying the typical $200 for this starter pack, I paid half of that!!! These have been a fun present and since Christmas, we’ve added more tonie figures to their collection. Harrison loves it a little more than Banks right now, but Banks’s favorite is his Chicka Chicka Boom Boom tonie that reads the book to him. He loves that book!

Our whole family uses this morning vitamin!! You can start your kids once they turn one, so right now Banks and Merritt get 2.5mL, Harrison gets 10mL, and Dustin and I get 30mL. This is a VERY clean vitamin brand.

Pottery Barn Look-Alike Curtains

When we had to replace our carpet in our bedroom after a water leak, I knew it was time for a bedroom refresh. We hadn’t done anything new to our bedroom since building our home back in 2015. I repainted our room, got all new bedding (that we are OBSESSED with!!), and wanted to replace the patterned curtains I had bought from Pottery Barn that wasn’t my aesthetic any longer.

While I loved the quality of the Pottery Barn curtains we had, I didn’t love the price tag–especially since we had just adopted Banks and money was tight. I had heard about PB look-alike curtains for a fraction of the price, but I was a little hesitant. Let’s be honest, a lot of times the more expensive item is actually better quality (you pay for what you get). But since I was on a budget and our bedding was my splurge, I ordered the look-alike curtains to try and….

I love them!!!! I’m sharing a few pictures of our room with the curtains and the blinds wide open (and a little boy who wanted to be with me the whole time I was taking pictures 🙂 Also I’ve already found the piece of art the I want to go above the chest of drawers, but that purchase will be later)

Like I said, I was so surprised by how great the quality of these curtains are! So, if you’re looking to redo a room or need new curtains, I highly recommend these Pottery Barn Look-Alike Curtains!

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2023

Today is the day! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is now open to everyone, and prices go back up on August 7th. So if there’s something you need for this winter (or even need something now) or need to restock something, now is the chance.

I also want to remind you that it’s okay to not need anything at all. Sometimes this sale can be overhyped, and I was even a little burned out before it even started. BUT there were a few good items I found that I want to share with you, and I even purchased a few things for my mom and sister!

I actually bought this top last year on blue during the sale and it’s one of my most worn items! I wear it with jeans and my black dress pants. This is a top that I highly recommend and I’m excited to get it in a different color so I can now have two.

I was so excited to see these products back in the sale! First, these are both really huge bottles. One is a dry shampoo and the other is a texturizing spray. I use the texturizing spray when I have clean hair and want to curl it with my wand. Plus, the scent on both of these is great and my hair always smells really good after using them 🙂

I thought this top would be great to wear now to school since I start school July 31st and August is the hottest month ever. This will also be great to wear with either jeans on a Friday or black dress pants during the week! And the price is great. It. can also be worn during colder months with a blazer over it.

I was very excited to grab another pair of these pjs! I have a navy blue and a black pair and now I’m adding the Barbie pink LOL. These wash and dry really well and I’ve had both pairs for a few years. If you need a new pair of pjs, these are great!

Okay now I want to share a few things Dustin and Harrison got and the things my mom and sister used my card to buy for themselves!

Since Harrison was born, I’ve always bought his winter coat from the anniversary sale. This year they didn’t have any North Face in the sale at all (not happy about that), so I grabbed him a bigger size in this pullover. He’s had the gray the past two years, but I did the navy this year. I would suggest sizing up one size because I do feel like it runs a little small.

I also grabbed him this polo (I ordered his normal size) for him to start wearing to school and church. This is one of those items that he can start wearing now and wear into the fall.

Harrison is also getting a new pair of tennis shoes for school this year! He’s had these exact shoes in gray before they are great. He can put them on by himself because they have the lace cage and not laces. you have to tie.

Dustin absolutely LOVES these shorts! He has them in a few colors right now that he’s bought from past anniversary sales and he will wear them with either a t-shirt to be more casual or he will even wear a polo with them and they still look really. nice. He says they are the most comfortable shorts ever. They also come in a few different color options.

Dustin also really likes this brand. He says it’s soft, breathable, and sleek (his own words). It fits great and it’s really his favorite polo brand. I just went to link this polo and it’s already sold out! See, it really is a great buy. I’m going to link all of the Peter Millar because he also has a pair of the shorts that he loves, too.

I will be the first to admit that I thought this blanket was the most overpriced and overhyped blanket. I could not figure out why people would spend $100 on a blanket! And let me add, Im the kind of person who uses a blanket year-round–if I’m on the couch watching tv, I’m using a blanket. So almost two years ago I won one of these blankets in a contest. That’s when I realized the hype was real! It washes and dries wonderfully AND the size is huge and perfect to cover me completely when I’m laying down. My mom ended up ordering two for herself and I went ahead and ordered another one for me to keep upstairs when we watch TV up there so I’m not having to tote my blanket around ha! This would make a great Christmas gift, too.

Lastly, I wanted to share this stroller! I know this is a more expensive item but it’s really a great deal. I really love this company and they have excellent customer service that has kept us using this brand even with Banks. My sister (who is having a baby at the end of this year!) ended up ordering this stroller because it was discounted and I actually love this color more than what I have LOL. This stroller had flown with us a few times (wear and tear has been excellent and nonexistent) and I accidentally backed into the stroller once and warped the frame. They sent me a new frame right away to replace the old one. Also, both Banks and Harrison slept in the bassinet beside our bed until I moved them into their crib. I used this stand and now it is their laundry hamper!
