Christmas Bucket List!

For the past few years, Dustin and I have sat down together and come up with a list of things we want to do during a certain season and I keep that list on my phone.  For summer, it might be a day trip to Nashville or Birmingham, and in the fall, it might be pumpkin carving or watching a certain movie.

This year we sat down to do our Christmas list and didn’t come up with a ton of things we wanted to do, but what we did come up with are things I can’t wait to do!!

-Watch a Christmas movie (don’t know which one yet)
-Build gingerbread houses
-Stroll around a mall looking at Christmas decorations
-Bake goodies to mail to friends (this is mainly me)
-Christmas parade
-Tinsel Trail
-She Reads Truth and He Reads Truth Advent studies together

Friday Faves!

Today’s Friday Favorites post will be short and sweet with my first FAVORITE being that it’s FRIDAY!!!  It has felt like the longest week and I need a day to sleep in 😊

 Last night I made Shay’s Salted Caramel Mocha bundt cake to take to school today.  I tried a small slice and it might be my favorite cake yet!!  It was pretty easy to make.  I actually ended up cutting the icing recipe in half, so I can’t imagine what it would look like if I would have made what it called for!


Speaking of Shay, she shared her Christmas home tour this week.  Her house is so pretty!!



I love roasting veggies in the oven.  I usually do broccoli, cauliflower, and a red onion.  I use this knife that i got last year from Dustin for Christmas to chop everything.  It makes such a difference chopping veggies when you have a great knife.


Has anyone been watching Mallory Ervin’s Vlogmas?  I’ve been texting with my friend Emily and we are dying to see what her new house is going to look like!

Life Lately

Hey y’all!  I know I normally don’t blog on Thursdays, but since I missed yesterday’s post, I thought I’d make it up today with a little life lately update for y’all.

 It has been so overwhelmingly special to see the amount of people who are supporting and encouraging us through this adoption.  We got this picture last night and this is a group of people from Dustin’s home church growing up.  So sweet!!



 Speaking of baby, I love every time I have to walk into the nursery to put something away and I get to look at the stuffed animals in the crib.  Oh, how I can’t wait until I get to put a baby down in this crib or rock the baby in the glider.  Just a few short months!!



 I bought a fire stick on cyber Monday for us to be able to watch Netflix or Prime Video on the tv instead of the computer (we’re probably the last people on earth to do that haha).  I hate anytime we have to do something with the tv that requires moving it out from the wall.  I took this of Dustin before the started moving the tv haha!!


 This was us on Thanksgiving night!  I’m wearing my favorite fall sweater from last year that I am constantly sharing!  I found it on sale for under $30 here!!!


 I wore this last week at school channeling Meghan Markle and was told I looked like a detective by a student????  Umm..ok?


Because I did a good bit of our shopping online this year for Christmas presents, I decided to set out goodies for our delivery people this Christmas season.  I grabbed those two buckets at Dollar General and filled one with mini waters and the other with small, individually wrapped snacks.  I used mini pringles, an assortment of packs of crackers, and Reese trees.  I also found that printable on Pinterest and just signed our last name at the bottom!
