I’m so excited for today’s post! House Tour Tuesday is one of my very favorite posts to do each month! This month’s house is special because it’s the house of my friend, Kayla, and she and I were going through the home building process at the same time. It was a lot of fun to talk about picking out brick, or doors, or cabinet colors! Y’all are going to love her house!

Let’s check out her house!
Don’t you love her bricked entrance to her house?
Her living room is the first thing you see when you walk in. Kayla has an open floor plan (which I love) so everything is so spacious.
I love the Christmas village!
This is such a fun tree and I love the presents she has under the tree! You’ll see she doesn’t have a tree skirt on her tree–it’s ordered and should be coming in soon.
I’ve already decided that next Christmas I’m going to try to do the urns with ornaments in it. I love how festive it looks, and yet it was so simple to put together!
This is to the left of her living room. Her dining and kitchen are open to the living room. I’m obsessed with her light fixtures!
…And the table!
Our cabinet color is very close–if not the same color. She did her island in a darker color and the contrast looks so good!
I love the details throughout her kitchen.
Her laundry room has access to her garage and pantry.
I wish my sink in my laundry room looked like this!
Her bedroom is like staying in a hotel! I love her bed and her bedding.
Master Bath–her tiled shower is the doorway on the left.
I love that she thought to put tile in her walk-in closet. That would make it so easy to clean. (Not pictured are the clothes on the left.)
This is her guest bath on the other side of the house. She has a split floor plan.

Kayla was so gracious to answer a few questions for us about her home!
1. What’s your favorite thing about your house?
My favorite thing about my house would have to be my back porch. It’s so quiet since it backs up to woods and it turned out a lot bigger and nicer than I could have ever expected.
2. If you were to build again, what is something that you would do differently?
The first would be putting plugs in the floor. I had the chance to do it at the beginning, but because it was my first time to build, I decided not to do them because at that point I don’t think I could have made another decision. Haha! (I’m going to have to agree with Kayla about how many decisions you make when building a home. It’s exhausting!) Also I would go with a single sink in my kitchen instead of having dividers in it. It makes it hard to clean dishes because they will not fit flat in the sink and I do not like doing dishes as it is. 🙂
3. What’s your favorite memory that you have made in your house?
I have two! I would have to say my house warming party that was thrown by my family and friends! I suggest everyone have a house warming when having a new home. It fills the house with so much warmth and love! I also hosted Thanksgiving this year, and it was so much fun having my family over and getting the be the entertainer!
4. Any plans for your house in the future?
I have many plans for my house in the future. I still have much more furniture to get to fill my home and I plan on doing a lot more to the exterior and back yard. It will definitely take some time but I’m excited about it!
5. What’s your favorite store to shop for home décor?
I have too many to just pick one so I’ll give my top ones! Ballard Designs, West Elm, Kirkland’s and my new favorite, Nadeau.
