Yesterday was my birthday and I turned the big 2-8! Since my birthday this year fell on a Sunday, I got to celebrate the entire weekend which made it that much better!
Friday
Dustin and I went to see The Martian! GO SEE IT RIGHT NOW!! That movie was unbelievably good–it was so god that I would go see it in theaters again!!! Matt Damon was excellent and the movie kept my attention the whole time. Go watch it!
Saturday
Mom and I went to Birmingham and met up with my best friend to spend the first part of the day together. First stop–the first Trader Joes in Alabama! They had so much pumpkin flavored stuff that I wanted to buy, but I’ll just wait until next time when Dustin goes with me.
Dreaming in Restoration Hardware
Then we went to Forest Park to a consignment shop that is known for their vintage clothing. Of course we all had to try something on!
Janie tried on a dress from the 50s and Mom wore something from what looked like the 70s.
And I found something from the 80s!
After that was lunch at my favorite place in Homewood–Little Donkey. I wished I would have gotten the salad because I couldn’t eat my whole lunch, but I definitely made sure to eat the corn! It’s my favorite!
Saturday night Dustin had to go into work so I went to a play to see a few of my kids who were in it. It was very enjoyable!
Sunday
Sunday was my actual birthday and I woke up to my favorite kind of cake!
You know I had to eat some for breakfast 🙂
Lunch with my dad (notice the birthday girl gets to sit up front haha!)
I opened the presents that Dustin bought me. The best present–he did our grocery shopping and cleaned the house!!!!!!! That gave me the chance to catch up on my DVR.
Then we did dinner that night with my mom, step dad, sister, and brother in law. It was such a fun-filled weekend and I know 28 will be just as fun!
