I took the past few days off from blogging because I was off enjoying my fall break from school!!! It was MUCH needed. And my blog may look a little different to you because it’s under construction. It’ll be ready within the next week, so I can’t wait to show all of you what I’ve been really dreaming up the past few months.
Now, a little recap of my fall break…
We celebrated my sister’s birthday on Friday! Happy Birthday Rach!
Of course we had to get a picture together 🙂
We took a trip to Nashville and I captured a picture of the fog sitting on the Tennessee River.
Flavored coffee at Fido in Nashville–it almost made me want to start drinking coffee 😉
I had a smoked turkey and Brie sandwich on focaccia with roasted sweet potatoes.
Dustin had braised beef and (I think cheddar??) with roasted sweet potatoes.
We love Hillsboro Village in Nashville!
Then we bought more Christmas decorations. I was excited and Dustin…
And we went to see Hotel Transylvania 2 with our nephews!
We had a pep rally last week and a few of the faculty and staff members surprised the kids by dancing to the “Whip/NaeNae.” It was hilarious and a FAVORITE memory! All day the kids commented me on how good my stanky leg was haha! Apparently that’s the only thing I could do good 🙂 As you can see below, we were supposed to dress “gangster.” A crooked flat bill cap is about as gangster as I’m going to get!
I saw these dishes in Belk and hydrangeas are my FAVORITE flower! All of the dishes are of the blue hydrangeas, but if they were all different colors and scenes, I wouldn’t mind having a few to hang on a little wall in my dining room.
Last night, my friend Hailey and I went to the mall because Belk was having a Girls’ Night Out and neither of us had ever experienced one! (Another teacher was the one that invited us but she ended up being unable to go, so the two of us still went.) We had a great time and laughed a lot! She had never been to Steel City Pops before, so it was a must that night. These gourmet popsicles are my FAVORITE! She had a maple bacon bourbon popsicle, and I had an Arnold Palmer. They were to die for!
Candy corn is my absolute FAVORITE candy in the whole wide world and I love this time of year because it’s out! I may have already eaten two bags of candy corn since they came out last month….
