I really enjoy posts that allow a peek into a blogger’s life. I find these things so fascinating (as do most of y’all), so I decided to document a day in the life of my meals. But…
I almost didn’t post this today. This was my third attempt at documenting what I eat in a day. The first two were school days and I did great for my breakfast and snack, but then once lunch came, I totally forgot to take pictures. And then when I decided to document yesterday since I was off of school, it was the least normal day eating-wise. Totally not planned this way, but for the sake of showing you real life, here’s what I ate yesterday!
I wake up every morning and have a Spark drink, and yesterday I slept in until 7. I do this no matter what time I wake up–if it’s 5AM or 7AM. When the morning become cold, I’ll start drinking coffee or hot tea, but right now when we still have summer weather, Spark it is! I love that it’s light and refreshing and also gives me energy.
And then here’s where my day went wrong in the eating department haha. I normally wait a few hours before eating breakfast every morning. It’s extremely rare for me to wake up hungry. Since yesterday was still part of my fall break, I went and took pictures of my sister and we had decided to treat ourselves to a cookie at one of our favorite cookie places. And then we both felt extremely sick. I had forgotten that when I’m eating healthy and then I eat something that isn’t healthy, it messes with my stomach.
This cookie was good until it wasn’t 😂 I ate this at 10:30.
I felt so nauseous after eating that cookie that I went home and took a nap (I also didn’t feel good yesterday either).
I woke up from my nap at 2:30 and take a hardboiled egg since I was hungry but it was past lunch time.
Then at 3 I was still hungry so I decided to pop myself some popcorn. I love flavoring my popcorn with the different salts and yesterday I chose the ranch.
Dinner was at 6 and I made Shay’s Pumpkin-Sausage Pasta. Dustin and I love eating this in the fall. I change her recipe a bit when I make this and I do add a whole can of pumpkin instead of just a cup, and I use turkey breakfast sausage.
I had Dustin pick up a cold buster drink from Starbucks on his way home from work since I was still feeling terrible and had a sore throat. I drank it after supper, and I don’t know what it is about that drink, but my throat felt so much better!
Okay, so you can see that this is not a typical day for me. When it’s a school day, I eat breakfast, a small snack, lunch, another snack, and then supper. I will try to do this again maybe next month and make sure that it’s going to be a normal day!
