Happy Monday!!! I unintentionally took last week off of the blog, but last week was SO busy! And any free time I got, I just spent either hanging out with Dustin or watching tv ha!

On opening weekend, Friday after school a group of teachers went to see Crazy Rich Asians (we’re missing Christy in this picture!!) and we LOVED it! It was hilarious and even though there were some obvious differences from the book, I didn’t mind them and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Now, I’ve got to read the second book so they can hurry up and make that movie ha!

I was just talking about these with one of my friends! Kroger has been selling these ceramic pumpkins the last two years and each year they bring out new designs. The two I already have aren’t pictured, and I’m hoping one day to add the stacked pumpkins (in the bottom right of the picture) to my collection one day. I LOVE seeing things like this because I’m so ready for fall!
Speaking of fall, don’t forget about mine and Emily’s fall link up!! It starts next week with crock pot meals and I can’t wait to see what everyone links up because I am all about the crock pot during cold weather.
We’ve had some lower humidity at nights, so Dustin and I have taken advantage of that and enjoyed some time out on our back porch. Lower humidity doesn’t mean less mosquitos, so we’ve had to burn those citronella candles but that doesn’t bother me.
Last weekend while we were siting on the back porch, I got a call from a girl in my small group who had a flat tire driving a work truck and needed help. Dustin changed the tire and so I definitely had to snap a photo of this ๐ I’m thankful I’m married to a man who can do stuff like this without any problem!
The high school football season kicked off this past Friday night and our team had a home football game against a pretty difficult opponent. If you didn’t know, Dustin and I went to the same high school and we live in that same town (and I teach for the junior high!). Dustin just loves watching any and all football and I love being able to watch former students.
We enjoyed a lunch date after church on Sunday!
I bought some Dreft to start washing the baby clothes I’ve bought (which isn’t much ๐). I carefully read the washing directions on each of the outfits and made sure I did everything perfectly. As I was getting everything on a hanger to put in the closet and could smell the detergent scent, I thought about how there were times that I never thought I’d be doing this. There were times when my sadness won over and I thought that Dustin and I would be childless forever. But these clothes represent God’s goodness in our lives. Our life right now is definitely not what I pictured whenever I used to think about my life with children, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
