This weekend was a little extra-long because of the snow. We had an early dismissal on Friday, and the few hours that we were at school, we all kept looking out the window waiting on the snow. I was finally able to leave school at noon and that’s when it started sleeting. It wasn’t sticking so I stopped by Subway for a pizza. (If you haven’t ever had a pizza from Subway, you should! They are good and solve your pizza fix!)
I took this picture just as the snow started sticking to the ground. This was probably around 1-1:30 that afternoon.
That evening after Dustin got home from work and we ate dinner, he wanted to get a picture of our house in the snow since it’s our first snow there. The amount of snow pictured is how much snow we got during our “blizzard” haha! Being a southern girl, this was the perfect kind of snow–not too much and doesn’t stick to the road so I can go places the next day!
Our attempt at a snow selfie in front of our house!
My sister facetimed me Saturday morning while I was looking at dining room tables. We decided to go to the gym together after she got out of bed 🙂
I did the usual on Saturday–laundry, grocery shopped, cooked dinner. Then I decided to try my hand at making a homemade chocolate buttercream icing. IT WAS DIVINE! I’ll be posting the recipe soon because it was so easy to make.
On Sunday I had church. I watched the remake of Cinderella for the first time ever–and teared up during it. The storyline was so beautiful and I loved the theme of “Have courage, and Be kind.” After I got home from church on Sunday night, Dustin was home and we hung out until it was time for bed.
How was your weekend?
