1. CoverFX primer— I have naturally combination skin. My t-zone tends to be a little oilier and everything else is normal. This primer is great for skin that is prone to a break out, so I put it only on my t-zone. It works so well for me that I never have to touch my makeup up throughout the day!
2. Smashbox foundation— This is a new foundation for me, and I’ve only been using it for a month or so. It’s a medium to full coverage and buildable. The only thing I don’t like about this foundation is that it goes on very thin, so maybe it’s the brush I’m using??
3. Urban Decay concealer— Okay this concealer is AWESOME!! Sephora doesn’t carry the Shape Tape concealer that everyone is using, but the girl said this was pretty much the same thing. I love how well this concealer actually conceals without looking cakey or heavy. I put it on with my beauty blender.
4. L’Oreal Primer and Mascara– This is a Walmart buy–for all the money I like to spend on makeup, I don’t like to spend a lot of money on mascara. The primer has been a life saver to make my lashes look longer and thicker!
5. Urban Decay setting spray— My friend Victoria first mentioned this on her blog when she said she wore it while giving birth to her son, Beau, and her makeup looked flawless the entire time. I totally agree with her in that it keeps your makeup on all day AND it still looks the same. I’m telling y’all, I never reapply makeup because I never have to.
6. Beauty Blender— What did we do in life before beauty blenders? I use this to blend in my concealer. I’ve tried the Walmart kind to save money (I guess I was trying to prove to Dustin that I can be low maintenance) but it just wasn’t the same quality and it actually didn’t blend in my concealer as well.
BONUS: I forgot to take a picture of this, but I use translucent powder to put over my concealer! I have used this for a few years and will always use it!
Makeup Favorites
I asked a question on IG stories last month to see if anyone wanted to know about my current makeup routine and I had an overwhelming YES! So to remind you how my makeup has looked lately, here’s a recent picture…
I’m really liking my current makeup routine (my skin looks flawless but it’s not!), but I still love reading about and trying new products. Seriously…the girls at Sephora should know me by name by now ha!
…aaaaannnd I was making this graphic while catching up on a tv show, and saved and exported it before I realized I didn’t add any numbers! Oops! So just go top to bottom, left to right 🙂 Sorry y’all!
Naked 2 palette— I have really enjoyed playing around with some of the color combinations in this palette. The pigment stays on all day…especially with the eye primer that I’ve mentioned below!
Tarte bronzer– I absolutely love this bronzer! It’s waterproof so it stays on even through a workout (or even at the pool). I will never buy any other kind of bronzer ever!
Urban Decay eye primer— I am a firm believer in using an eye primer before you apply your eye shadow. Otherwise, what’s the point in wearing eye shadow? This eye primer is the original, so it’s colorless. But Urban Decay has some that are pigmented that I may try next!
Nars blush— This is mine (and everyone else’s) favorite blush. It works with every skin tone!
Becca highlight— I apply this highlight at the tops of my cheek bones and at the tip of my nose. I just love the extra shimmer it adds without being too shimmery–if that makes sense!
