We made it through the first week of school! I totally jinxed myself when I picked Harrison up on Friday and thought about how awesome it was that Harrison made it through the first week of school not sick–because Saturday after his nap, he woke up with a fever. And here we are Monday morning still fighting a fever. Womp womp…
Here’s to hoping it passes quickly while I’m home taking care of him today. And while we’re watching a movie together, I thought I’d catch up on last week and share it with y’all!
ISN’T HE THE CUTEST?! We were all smiles Monday morning before we left for the first day of school. And I’m actually pretty proud that I got us ready in time to take pictures since Dustin was already at work.
It took a whole lot of convincing to get him to take a picture with me….notice the keychain and camera strap LOL! At his school, the teachers come get the kids out of the car at drop-off so you don’t have to walk them inside. This was the first time Harrison got out of the car and didn’t turn around to wave at me while he walked inside, so I cried the entire drive to my school. Monday was the only day tears were shed and it wasn’t even by my child!
And when I woke up Monday morning and went into the kitchen to make my coffee, I was greeted by a sweet note 🙂
We ended the week celebrating with a visit to our local library! We had some books to return, and Harrison was able to check out 4 more books. His favorite part, though, is picking out a new coloring sheet as he leaves–which is what he wanted to pose with instead of one of the library books we left with :).
