Happy Friday, y’all! And Happy Veterans Day! I’d like to thank all those who served or are currently serving, and I’d like to thank my dad who served in the Air Force!!
Today I’m off work and sharing a few of my FAVORITES with y’all!!
ONE
I started watching Buying Beverly Hills on Netflix last week and am almost finished with season 1. It’s similar to Selling Sunset but with a lot less drama. It also feels like they show more of the houses they are selling, and they are selling much more expensive houses on this show too. And if you watch Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, this show follows Kyle Richard’s husband’s real estate agency.
TWO
Target has some really cute Christmas mugs out this year! This is the one I’m drinking out of in this picture, and I also picked up this one, too! There’s just something special about drinking your morning coffee out of a new Christmas mug with the Christmas lights twinkling in the background!
THREE
One afternoon Dustin texted to ask what we were doing and I sent back this picture. Harrison pretty much always has to be touching me or beside me 🙂 For those who are unaware, attachment is a huge deal in adoptions. Before Harrison was born, I prayed daily for positive attachment with whatever baby joined our family, and with Harrison, the Lord answered me tenfold haha! There is no question about Harrison’s attachment, and while sometimes I would like a break from all the touching, it really is my FAVORITE 🙂
FOUR
I have finished reading all three of Emily Henry’s latest books and I have ALL the thoughts! If I had to rank them least favorite to most favorite….
#3 Book Lovers — This book follows an author and a book editor who started off on the wrong foot. The editor, Charlie, is such a likable character that I was rooting for him the entire book! The only reason I’m ranking this one at the bottom is because it took me about 150 pages to actually get into the book and I stuck with it because so many people raved about it.
#2 Beach Read — This book follows two authors (I’m seeing a theme in Emily Henry’s books LOL). The main character January is a chick lit writer who is dealing with her father’s death and finding out some information about him that she feels like is devastating. She moves next door to an author who is the polar opposite of her–and who happens to be a college rival of hers. I really enjoyed this book and it was hard to rank it at #2!
#1 The People We Meet on Vacation — This book follows two best friends, Poppy and Alex, who take a summer vacation together every year. The book swaps back and forth from the present to vacations in the past and it is WONDERFUL! I wanted this book to last forever. I love the storyline, both characters, and the writing style. I did not want this book to end and I would definitely reread it!
If you’ve read one of these books (or end up reading one), please let me know your thoughts!!!!
