Happy Monday, my sweet friends! This weekend has been great, and even though I’m sad to see it go, I’m ready for the week ahead!
My new shirt (it’s on sale!!) came in the mail and I was excited to wear it for our women’s coffee house night at church.
Here’s a good picture of our big area with the crowd starting to come in–we were so happy with the turn out.
Not the best picture but this is our coffee bar and sweets area. We had regular light and dark roast coffee plus the coffee bar offered specialty coffees and hot tea. For our sweets area, we had TONS of cookies and brownies!
Our speaker Friday night was Brittany Price. If you’ve never heard of her, you need to read her story. I felt very encouraged hearing her testimony of praising God in the midst of suffering. We all will suffer at some point in our life, and it’s how we use that suffering is what matters–use it for God’s glory because He is our source of strength–not anything else.
This was at the end of the night and we were so tired! My friend Sarah and her husband will be moving to a new church to serve that congregation, so this last photo of us serving the women’s ministry together is something I will always cherish!
The small group leaders in our women’s ministry (plus Brittany)–I love these ladies!
This guy was asleep by the time I got home Friday night, so I got to see him Saturday morning when we woke up. As you can see above, we spent some quality time together each checking our cell phones ๐
We went to the gym together and my sister was there. I love living in the same town as my whole family. Also, please ignore how messy the closet is in the background. I need to organize the shelves SO BAD!!! ๐๐
Later that afternoon Dustin and I went to run a few shopping errands and go out to eat. Then we decided to go watch a hockey game. Last year was the first (and only) hockey game I had ever seen, and I thought there would be fights. Well, I was wrong. But last night made up for the fact that I didn’t see any fights my last game because they fought A LOT. Finally, I decided to get my phone out to capture some of the fights. We ended up leaving 10 minutes into the 3rd period because I was still tired from Friday night, and I slept all the way home ๐
Sunday morning was church and then we went out for lunch.
I needed to wash our comforter, and instead of going to the laundromat like I always do, I asked my sister if I could use her washer since it’s so much bigger than mine. I’ll have to keep that in mind next time I need to wash it, right Rach?
Dustin and I went grocery shopping together that afternoon. We never grocery shop together and I was quickly reminded why. “No, we don’t need these bbq sauces. No, these snack foods aren’t healthy. You don’t need that chocolate.” I sound like such a mean mom instead of the wife of a diabetic who complains about not being healthy ๐
And then we spent the night searching for a beach condo! I think we found one–fingers crossed it works out!
