We are over halfway through with The 2015 Blog-tember Challenge! I’ve enjoyed having prompts given to me, but I will be happy to get back to my normal content! I missed yesterday’s prompt and was so sad because it was one I was looking forward to! Today’s is important with the expansion of the blogging world, and don’t forget to check back tomorrow for my next post!
Day 16: The real you vs. the online you. Are they the same or different?
Everything I post about on this blog is real–none of the content is ever made up. None of it is ever staged–as in, we don’t go do anything just for the sake of me having blog content. (Well, when I start posting pictures of our house next month, you’ll know I made sure everything was clean and in its place beforehand!) I write about things we go and do or recipes I make or random posts that are on my heart.
So I definitely think the real Sarah and the online/blog Sarah are the same. With that being said, I am careful about what I blog about. I’m not comfortable blogging every single detail of our lives–and I know people don’t care ha! At this point in my life, I’m not comfortable blogging about the hard things that go on–the low blood sugar episodes that Dustin has, our disagreements, or a bad day I had. And I don’t for see that ever happening.
I use this blog as a scrapbook that I’m going to be able to look back on in the years to come and remember our lives the way they were. I love looking back at my posts from when I first started blogging (a year ago next month!!) and I remember how much I was still obsessed with our wedding. I love looking back at the posts when we started building our house and seeing how it transitioned from an empty lot to a house I’m sitting in typing this right now 🙂 I write this blog for me and my memories, but I appreciate the people who read along! It’s so encouraging when I run into someone who tells me they enjoy reading my blog–so thank you!
