HAPPY SEPTEMBER, y’all!!!!
I literally want to shout that from the rooftops because my favorite part of the year has started today! I find that the older I get the more I crave fall and Christmas way more than I yearn for summer. So because today marks the beginning of fall, my friend Emily and I are teaming up every Thursday this month to share a few of our favorite things of the season!
I happened upon Emily’s blog shortly after I started my own blog. She and I are around the same age and have so much in common! We both love the Hallmark channel (and reality TV), and I’m always thankful when Emily texts and tells me to record a certain Hallmark movie. Emily is a big reader (like myself) and we both love a happy book with a good love story in the plot line. Emily loves decorating her apartment seasonally, so I’m really excited to see her fall decorations this year! You must make sure you check back when we share our fall decor!
If you’re stopping by from the Blogtember Challenge or from Emily’s blog, I wanted to introduce you to myself!
I’m an Alabama girl who married an Auburn grad (but Alabama fan) from my own hometown after we were set up on a blind date 5 years ago! We’re a classic Country-Boy-Marries-City-Girl…..if you can call our hometown of 15,000 a city 🙂 After our wedding, we built our first home inside the city limits where I have a 5 minute commute to work!
On my blog you’ll see my passion for reading good books, cooking, home decorating, shopping, fashion, and creating and participating in family traditions. I enjoy running, surprises in the mail, spending time with my sister, blogging, burning candles, and living in the South. But more than anything, I love the Lord. My goal is to glorify Christ every day through my actions, words, and thoughts. By spending time in the Word, in prayer, through sacrificial giving and other spiritual disciplines, my worship of Christ grows in both spirit and in truth. Please feel free to email me at saraheshaneyfelt@gmail.com if you have any questions!
I started Meet the Shaneyfelts a couple of months after getting married to document our life as newlyweds, and it has grown to much more! I’m so thankful for the people I’ve met and connected with through blogging, and if you’re reading this, I’m thankful for YOU!!
